interesting vid!! thank you for introducing me to these plushies! i just recently became interested in collecting old cartoon plushies. i'm starting mostly with south park (already ordered 3 1998 SP plushies off ebay!) but i am definitely going to seek these out now as well. why they dont do promo like this anymore?

I'm not sure, perhaps it's just not as profitable to do promotions like this anymore. Many restaurants still do collaborations with other IPs though. McDonald's for example is still releasing themed Happy Meals.
