As a 1600 hour (not even 50 hrs mp) civ player I can agree that I am not good enough to understand this video 100%. But I can still appreciate some of the learnings in this. Like using early Nab gold for tiles or what not

I had a game a while back with the most insane sioux land I've ever seen. On 6 city Liberty i 3-turned chichen by turn 59, finished angkor t66ish after workshops, hardbuilt sistine and notre and leaning by t85 with t88 industrialization. Still didn't win. Until that game i thought sim can make up for being really bad at war and late game indecision. This solex game is kinda changing my mind, because I can't imagine losing in this spot. I guess the difference is scaling>speed (10 cities vs 6).

Your game sounds insane - tbh you had no business losing that game. Speed vs scaling is the age old question. Speed wins with proactivity. Scaling wins with lobby passiveness. I obviously didn’t see your game but you probably needed to go arty or landships and kill everyone before you get teamed

I never got a chance to play with him. He stopped playing as I started so we barely missed each other. A lot of the people I play with though have played with him extensively

Great sim indeed. An advanced topic which i d like to ask you is, when we play these 8+ city liberty games, is it better to unwork uni slots when the scientist spawned in expands ? Or maybe keeping the second and third and say, unworking the 4th scientist spawner expand and all the later ones? Is there a general rule you follow? Thanks a lot for your work, excellent video concept.
