The reviewers definitely did not use the Stokke Tripp Trapp, as a person who actually owns and has tried to use it, the build process is completely unintuitive, if you look at Stokke's own guides online, the comments are filled with people saying that the guide isn't helpful. and the harness alone is impossible to adjust when your child is in it If i knew i would have this much of a headache for $400 i would have easily gone with the $80 graco

I think it's funny hearing what other nationalities than Scandinavians feel when reviewing Stokke chairs, given that they don't have the history attached. Here in Denmark they have been a staple in most homes since the 70's. I.E. my parents kept my Stokke chair from the 80's and it now sits in my home for my own child. The Stokke is definitely an investment piece, but it quite literally grows with the child and can become a family heirloom if you treat it well enough; and the child can sit in the chair for ages upon ages. For me the only negative is that the newer tray system aren't compatible with the much older chairs, so you have to do a bit of adjustment/sand the chair down a bit in places.

Exactly. I’ve literally sat on these things comfortably as an adult in multiple people’s homes. They make great backup seating, last practically forever and are just incredibly solid. The rest of the world definitely doesn’t understand the hype.

@@trevdog110 Nope, we bought the Tripp Trapp. Baby is due August 2024 so haven’t used it yet. I like the Bugaboo Giraffe.

@@sonyawilliams4989 It's the best on the market. This review looked at the needs of the parent while failing to look at the needs of the baby. The main thing a baby needs is a highchair that fits, most do not fit babies unless they are fully adjustable like the Tripp Trapp. You can get inserts to get around this issue. The baby needs to sit straight, not lean sideways or back. That posture apart from being tiring raises the risk of choking. Elbows should be able to bend at the tray not be below the tray. The foot rest is vital and not a bell of whistle as they mention here. It's needed to keep the babies body stable and their core upright. Without a good footrest your baby will get tired very quickly.
