I have to say I think the SLUG-GPis at least 10 times better than any fluke. When they came out it was the absolute hottest lure in the 90's. I still keep 6" bubble gum in the boat at all times. It feels to me like the plastic is different than the SLUG-GOs we used to get but it doesn't matter action is still great. Very impressed that a younger person like you knows this bait. It might be my all time favorite! Great video! slug-go

Yes!! I agree Completely! I love throwing the "old-school" baits as I feel like the bass don't see them as often which triggers a few more bites, especially on these high pressure chains! If you have any other "forgotten about" baits you'd like to see me review please let me know!

@@outdoorswithhunter There is one old school lure I miss. Back in the day nobody threw plastics on their jigs. It was always jig & pig. Every once in a while you would find someone who fished a plastic trailer on a jig in the summertime or for Walleye (but that is a different story). I had stopped fishing for almost 30 years because of raising a family and all that. I would go a couple of times a year and also during our trip to the St. Lawrence every year. Anyway, I was shocked when I got back into fishing and found out Uncle Josh was not around anymore. I hear they are producing the #11 pork frog and a few others again. I think I caught bigger fish on average back then on the jig & pig than I do now with a plastic trail.

Thats awesome! I think I've heard of that before! I didn't know they started producing them again! I'll definitely look into getting some!

@@outdoorswithhunter Yeah, I am not sure how they overcame the reason they stopped but they must have. When I started fishing the pork was so tough it would last for many days and possibly even months if you didn't let it dry out. But then with steroids and such the hogs going to market were much younger, so the hyde was really flimsy. So instead of marketing an inferior product Uncle Josh choose to close it's doors. Pretty impressive if you ask me. I haven't ordered a bottle yet but I think I am going to tonight. I only ever would use Black/blue.
