Hi again. Rapido's handrails are metal. The stanchions are plastic. No doubts that the engine is very nice and accurate. I'm living in Quebec - Canada. In the area I live, there are still engines like these running on track and part of Chemin de fer de la Matapédia et du Golfe railroad. From what I experienced in the past, Rapido's engines are not reliable. Sorry ! That's all I got to say. I recently bought a Rapido MIL bulkhead flatcar. It came out of the box with the bulk broken in pieces. No one answered my request about that. Neither the seller or Rapido themself. So I'm really not impress by their stuff... and service ! If you want to compete with the best in the business, you GOT to be better than that !
