Thanks for the review. I have a battery drain issue with my WASP. in the last 6 months I went through 3 new batteries. Each one lasted 2 to 6 weeks. Obviously I got a lemon. Called Springfield and they emailed me a FedEx label. Sent it off yesterday. They said it is a 3-6 week turnaround. From other people who have this issue they say Springfield sends out a new one. Haven’t heard anyone complain about problems with the new one. That said the Hellcat, and the Pro, I have both, are my favorite pistols out of many different models and brands I own. No issues whatsoever. 500+ rounds through each. The WASP red dot was spot on out if the box. 3.5 MOA is perfect. Nice and bright. Adjusts to ambient lighting. Has a small profile and is a nice looking sight that compliments the Hellcat well. Hope the new one is as problem free as yours.

@@HeyItsAsmus Received my WASP replacement a couple weeks ago. Thought they would send me a new one but instead sent me a refurbished one in a plastic baggie. Sitting in my desk with the battery testing to see how long it will last. Can’t trust it by installing on my Hellcat. Disappointing purchase.

Love my hellcat , I carry it every day . I do not run the hex wasp I am running currently the veridian rfx15 and so far so good. Green dot very natural to pick up for me. One thing I will say is if you have the means and have the range , shoot more man. I shoot 2-300 rounds a week just to keep my self motivated to get better every day. I do not work in the firearm industry, nor does my job require me to be proficient with my pistol , I just decided that if I am going to carry every day, if that day comes when I need to jump I want to know that pistol in and out and not have to think about anything but what I'm doing . Keep it up, shoot more if ya cab. You'll only be doing yourself a favor.

I had a Hex Wasp. It was stuck at full power. It would eat through a battery in 30 days, flat. I later had the gun poorly clipped to my belt and it bounced on the pavement several times. Not a scratch on the Hellcat - bent the RDS housing and cracked the lens, after having just replaced the battery for the third time. I was done with it.

Quick question? Why if you carry one in the camber would you not still have the mag loaded fully improving the round count by one?

Well for one if I need more rounds I carry one extra mag, but also personally I don’t think that one round will make the difference. If I can’t hit what I’m firing at with 12 rounds then, probably need not to carry anyway lol. That also makes it so that when I get home I don’t have to find a spot to keep that one extra round. I don’t leave my pistol with one in the chamber when I’m home. I have a shotgun for home defense.

I’m having a hard time hitting targets with the red dot, I don’t know if I need to align it with my front sights or let the dot be my intended target

You didn't say anything about changing the battery, so I assume you're still on the original.

Yes mine is the original battery still. I haven’t heard of anyone needing to change it out that quickly. But some people have said that they have had issues but I have not.

The Wasp was garbage... Far to dim.. They discontinued it and now sell the OSP with the SHIELD SMSC.. I called Springfield to complain about how dim the red dot was and they swapped it for the SMSC and I couldn't be happier.
