Nice review, Anthony! I think the BGD wings by far are the most beautiful wings made by any manufacturer. They are simply stunning to look at. Congrats on finding a large piece of property. I hope that all turns out nicely! Can't wait to hear more about it!

I trained on a Magic. I bought a brand new Magic through my instructor, who was willing to get me whatever I wanted. With my intended style of flying, which is more like 3 dimensional sight seeing and occasionally skimming corn and not pretending that I know anything about aerobatics or wanting to, I suspect that I'll have it for a looong time before I think I'm beginning to outgrow it. IMHO your students are clearly in great hands!

Dude, I'm so happy for you to be starting your own school! That's seriously something I've been thinking about doing also, but perhaps the timing isn't quite right for me yet. I still need to build more hours and - eventually - get my tandem/instructor rating. When I do - I'll come down to you and visit El Paso finally!

I fly the same glider, same size, same colour. It is so astonishing to be under that wing. Learning as well as growing in the sport has never been so assuring and beautiful. I love the way it flies stable. And when needed, it also gives more accessibility to speed and agility when you want it. The perfect glider for init adventures in the sport. 🤟🏽👌🏽

I agree! I usually fly a super advanced glider, but I thought this wing was a lot of fun! 😁

Thanks for the detailed review. I also bought an ML Gemini Magic Motor through Team Fly Halo and will be starting my training later this month. I was down at the Salton Sea Fly-In to get as much info before committing to this wing. Congrats on the school and new grounds. I got a Scout with a Moster 185 and can't wait to get started. Keep up the great content. Much appreciated!

My ozone glider bag has shoulder straps like a backpack. My bgd glider bag does too.
@fobio21012 жыл бұрын
Also personal preference, I like the brake magnets better on my ozone glider vs my bgd glider. I feel like the bgd magnet is weaker and I don’t like the slot thing.
@ParamotorWorldChamp2 жыл бұрын
That’s a great point. I totally forgot about the Ozone easy bag having a backpack setup. Also, I prefer the traditional magnet.

I learned on the BGD MAGIC MEDIUM. Great wing. 30 flights, been bagged ever since. Spyder3-24 ~300 flights. Minyard put me under the ITV Baja 22. Total game changer. It’s an A- wing, but cuts thru like a razor. It’s the definition of stable! Give it a try!
@Dreaklock Жыл бұрын
I've been curious about the Baja but finding reviews on it has been difficult. I am considering it for my first wing. Is it as fast as the Spyder (using only trims)? I mainly want to just cruise around, sightsee, and occassionally go up and explore my local mountains when the weather cooperates. I want a super safe wing, but I also want one that's not a total dog (Mojo) too.
@Rickardo22li Жыл бұрын
@@Dreaklock I have a mojo pwr2 as my first wing, maybe it is a little bit slower than the magic. Like you i just want to fly around and explore flying around locally, keep in mind that releasing trimmers or playing with the speed system you are taking away most of the wing safety. The spyder is a full reflex wing and not a wing you want if you value safety. I am just trying to find a good safe wing that can provide a good speed and efficiency to fly some distance i am liking the magic or blizzard

Right between a county airport and a private runway (31.889642, -106.661249 ) , you'll need to remind students to always keep an eye out for other air traffic. Wish you the best in your training endeavors.

thank you so much for this video! I am wanting to get into ppg, but do not want to buy something that I would outgrow and have to spend a lot more money after a very big purchase. I guess I am "vanilla" because the things I have talked to many about, they recommend a more advanced system. I see what you do with this wing, and yeah that is what I am looking for! I realize what is more advanced in my eyes is not advanced at all to those I have been conversing with. (my explaining flying close to ground and weaving in and out of hay bales and such.) Watching your video of turns and flying close to the ground is plenty enough for me, as I would fight my urge to keep pressing myself because I want to live another day to continue to enjoy. I do want to ask if this wing would work with a trike or you have another suggestion. I would hate to buy a set up only to learn I can not do foot launch. Thank you again for all of your videos.

@@ParamotorWorldChamp I am saving now to build an Eco 2 Lite with RMZ 500 engine and a Triox 2 wing. I'm going to Aviator Paramotor in Florida later this year for my flight training. I am originally from D/FW and my family still lives there. So the chances are pretty good that I will load up my trailer with the aircraft and drive out to meet you one day while visiting them. You've had quite an impact on me over the last year, watching your progress on a very similar heavy-lift aircraft like the one I'm building. I've learned a great deal from watching your posts. You have a fan here....as well as a student of your adventures. Cheers, sir.

I have been interested in PPG for about a year now after viewing YT videos. I just retired a couple months ago and would love to try it. I learned to fly a hang glider many years ago and loved it because it was about as close as you can get to pure flight unless you were born as a bird. This has the same appeal to me. It was nice to not have a motor to have to hear but that also it was a pain to drive to the top of a mountain to launch and have someone to drive to the landing area to pick you up. If there wasn’t and lift it was a sled ride to the bottom. This would be perfect for me to get out and fly around the valley first thing in the morning for an hour here in southern Nevada.
@glen3257 Жыл бұрын
I truly you see my reply. I am not yet retired , but the feeling of flying is heaven for me. I have been researching ppg for 3 years now and have not pulled the trigger yet. Have you tried this? I also agree with the noise of the engine, but the trade off to fly wow! I am 54 in November, and this form of flying appeals to me so much. Climb to high altitude (which is safer) turn off engine and sore with the birds! (winner winner chicken dinner." I hope you reply back. take care.

Not quite. I love my Universal, but the BGD Magic is quite a bit softer in the controls (generally better for first time flying). The risers are much slimmer as well. Thank you! We are really looking forward to secure a great location.

Hello John! Thanks for inquiring. Currently, we have 11 people on standby for an introductory flight. We’re in the windy season right now. The best thing to do would be to go to our website and sign up to get on our list. You’ll need to fill out the form, sign the waiver and pay. Once that is done, you’ll be added to the list. I anticipate that I can get you up and flying within 4 weeks, when the conditions will be great.
