I don't think they realized that Troye said he wrote this song for Connor Franta whilst Connor was going through depression in the Summer he didn't say why but Connor made a video then saying it was because Connor was having a hard time accepting the fact that he was gay. So the song is very deep and insightful, and the pill is basically an anti-depressant that Connor would have taken, so basically Troye is singing from Connor Franta's perspective.

Natalie Morgan Right, but "behind the eye" isn't the same as "inside the eye." Contact lenses float on the surface of the eyeball. It is possible for them to float, or be pushed, far from where they should be and into the white area. Sometimes it floats so far off target that you can't reach it to remove it. Pull your eyelid back really far, and maybe you see the edge of the lens. Your optic nerve and membranes keep it from getting totally behind the eye. "Behind" is technically wrong but the lens is inaccessible, nevertheless. Either way it's uncomfortable when you feel it.

+opheliasghost I am someone on medication for depression, among other things. I've suffered with mental illness my whole life. I've gone through years of trying to find the right mixtures of pills, which I have. I've been on medications that have made me sick, manic, and stable. With the pills I take now I lead a pretty healthy life. I'm not constantly trying to hurt myself, hearing things, or feeling paranoid. But I'm not who I use to be. I'm happy don't get me wrong, I have found the right pills, but I've lost a big part of me. For some of us anti depressants strip us of our reality. Suddenly you are living a life you aren't use to. I live in a world, while healthy and happy, isn't my reality. Life feels fake sometimes. And I feel numb sometimes because when you are depressed you feel such strong emotions. I am a massively artistic person, but I have lost some creativity because of the new balance my emotions live in. I think medication helps with mental illness, but you can't rely on pills alone. There is no end all or be all. And you have to remember that mental illness isn't some foreign body. To quote a great baboon "he lives in you".
