Hewitt Hydraulic Boat Lift Review 6000LBS

You've had it over a year. I just bought the same boat (Axis). How do you like it now? I'm comparing this to a shore station vertical hydraulic lift which is about $6k more.

Well i'm glad you asked i am having a issue right now where the boat slowly drop's down 6in's or so every day, i have traced it to find out it's a bad valve but am waiting for the Dealer to fix it. It's a bit of a pain. I'm sure you will Love the Axis, i do! Have a Great summer Wakesurfing!

I have the same lift that just got installed and it makes the same noise. Were you able to figure out why and get it fixed?

Leister Bowling I put some water grease on the joints and after a while the noise went away 😄!

Thanks for the reply. After talking to the dealer he recommended that I check the valve going to the pump and sure enough, the guys that installed it left the valve turned all the way open. Hewitt recommends 1.5 turns of the valve. I adjusted it to that and the clunking went away immediately.

Wow Great to Know i bet the guys who install mine as well did the same thing. The only issue I had was the lift would slowly drop after 2-3 days with the boat on it, I brought to a Dealer and they fixed a valve and have not had any issues since. Have a Great Summer!

$8500 installed, $7500 if you self install for 6000lbs version

Wow that sounds scary. My recommendation is get a ShoreStation. More reliable. Hydraulics and hoses are out of the water. Single cylinder. Vertical lift so easier to load and unload. Better load guide system on the ShoreStation. Sorry the ShoreStation is Just all around a much better hydraulic lift.
