Revisit of the Abandoned Kmart in Manahawkin, NJ

Up until the Kmart near me closed, it always felt like the 90s in there. Will be missed, along with Blockbuster, MovieStop, Toys R Us, RadioShack, United Artists Theater and more. We are living in a era of Walmarts, Amazon, and Netflix. All venturing will be done at home. No more variety, just boring same. Big bookstores like Barnes & Noble and Books-A-Million will also falter. I've always supported these stores but mostly everyone else would rather be stuck on there phones and tablets.

Yeah I totally agree, internet shopping has really taken over. And I blame Amazon and stupid Walmart as well

The blue store that was closed used to be a 5 below. This was my childhood Kmart!

@@TimurD1905 It took me a second because I did remember there being a pier one there but you’re right it was on the other side by the TJ Maxx. Haven’t been down there in years what a shame to see what it looks like now

@@colindarmody It's sad, there are so many buildings I have come across that are abandoned/closed. And with inflation and higher prices in rent, makes the situation worse for some people

Damn I use to work there until they closed in 2017…I remember reading that another store was suppose to go in there but hasn’t yet…the only store I remember being in there for a small amount of time was spirit halloween

I heard about that rumor too but nothing has happened yet. There's also a closed Five Below down the same shopping center, it's been closed for like 8 years I believe

Yeah, there's too many abandoned Kmart locations that I filmed. Can't even keep track of how many I did

1989 90 Kmart start to remodel stores around 45 percent completed new CEO of Kmart built 20 super Kmart to compete with Walmart 2 time they fail it cost them 5milliojs dollars to do one store 2003 they out of bankrupt with new ownership from creditors in control I got gathered off the internet right after that former hedge fund manager got greedy took over Sears and Sears Kmart from Canada that was the worst mistake he made Because Canada and untied states have different types of retail Target tried it too but fail

I'm surprised Target failed in Canada, probably cause they took over former Zeller stores and weren't that profitable. Just my guess
