I remember watching this interview for the 1st time about a year ago and thinking to myself what a nice man Franco is. Its a shame he had to leave us so unexpectedly. It would be nice if Arnold would finally do your show not only to talk about the old days together but to pay tribute to Franco, he deserves it. C'mon Arnold make time for your old friends.

One of the most decent amazing men to exist. His love of life and his passion to help others was inspirational. I was literally in tears when I heard. What a loss to the world just because if everyone took a little of Francos way and put it out to others the world would be a better place. Some may say he was just a man. Its true he was just a man and what a man he was. Bless.

I am so grateful that you got to see him and interview him my favourite bodybuilder all time He inspired me to go and train I hope one day to compete but Franco gave me that motivation that us shorter guys can do it RIP Franco x

This was so great to see Ric, you would never know if you didn’t follow body building who he was because he is so mild-mannered and humble you would never know that he won two Mr. Olympia titles and how many Mr. universes at least 2 or something but he’s just like a regular guy and I think that’s what made him special at least that’s one thing that made him special so thank you for sharing this with us.

In 1971 Authur Jones had Arnold and Franco come to Deland, Florida to train. Legend has it Arnold couldn't hack the HIT training but Franco took to it like a duck takes to water. Arnold left after like two days.

I knew a guy in College who was a waiter at a upscale authentic German restaurant.in Westwood CA 1978-1980, he told me that Arnold and Franco used to come into the Restaurant once a week for dinner and eat like 2-3 meals worth of food each, have a bunch of beers and great time joking and that they were very funny & loud,. He said they were really nice and great tippers. Arnold has talked about being disciplined in how he eats all week and then rewarding yourself with a cheater meal, so this must have been these guys cheater meals. I bet the next morning they would do four hour workouts to burn up many of the calories. Those two knew how to live. God Bless you Franco.

Thank you for posting Rick. Wondering what the results were from your taping (didn't see the original). Franco will be missed, touched even the lives of us poor kids from Philadelphia in the 70s and 80s. This was the only quality videos that I could find about Franco after his passing. I appreciate it. Franco's accent is like my father's grandfather who emigrated from Germany. No matter how long they're in the US they never lose the accent. RIP Franco
