Revit 2025.2 - New Revit Features Review

There's a certain Autodesk charm to adding tabs to the project browser in the same update that they remove tabs from the manage links dialog box. Like... I guess I get it (you'll have A LOT more items in the project browser usually), but it's still funny as hell. One of these days they are going to come up with a somewhat consistent and intuitive UI design language, but it looks like those days are still a LONG way off.

Love the new Twinmotion tools, this is going to make my projects a heck of a lot easier and save mountains of time.

Thank you for the video. Is it possible substitute to custom library objects like trees or it’s only supported by standard library objects?

Still the older version compatibility is not supported!!! I am running with this problem on a daily basis. I work with Revit 2024 while the others use 2023 in the same project, we had to rebuild the entire project again in 2023. This is critical in Revit to solve more than changing the project browser look!!!

the tab sorting of the project browser is by far the best thing this update brings

Yep, tabs in browser are quite useful but it was signed as an idea for improvement to Autodesk in 2016😂 So it took only 8 year to implement such a complex feature. Good job autodesk. ❤

Can they just stop making a new revit every year and really work on improving performance with a version in 2 years. Feels like its long overdue.

Reading between the lines, AutoDesk seems to be planning on never actually fixing Revit from the ground up, seeming to believe we're all going to be using Forma instead. Which is hilarious, since last time I checked, Forma has less modelling capability than an empty TwinMotion file.

Based on seminars and press releases, AutoDesk seems intent on never rebuilding Revit from the ground up, or fixing the longstanding performance issues. They appear to believe that we'll all be moving over to Forma instead, which is hilarious because Forma currently has less BIM capability than a blank TwinMotion file. Commenting again, because the first reply dissapeared.
