Only with ghPython or C# I'd say.

Yes it would be possible but the algorithm to divide them would be quite different. I'd look into the lunchbox package and use the location curve intersected with the merged panels/mullions of the wall to generate a divisible surface. It will take some exploration, I haven't done it before myself.

Maybe transform the area parameter to Text? The issue seems like caused by that square meter symbol.

Yes it might relate to the storage type for parameter values, which dont seem to be the same as raw data until you convert them to a raw type. Its interesting that they behave differently when merged, must be some behavior being applied during the process which changes the data type.
