Exactly the same thing happened to me! I was pleasantly surprised at the effortless way he built the roof :)

@@RealityReasoner one way is to select the view port on sheet and you can rotate by 90deg.only.... Another way is to sketch the view using detail lines and this can be rotated

Thanks for the video. If you array the first truss instead of copying, it creates groups of the members. They will look just like the first and you won't have to attach them all individually. Moving forward, when you make a change to one, the others will be updated. saves time.

While you can place purlin above the rafter, the problem I see here is how to place roof cover above the purlin. You get the intersection roof cover and purlin. How to resolve it.
