What a coincidence. I also bought a Bitsa Rapide this year. Mine was running, but the carbs where also really worn and I already changed them to new ones provided by burlen amals. And even my cam lobes were also "suspicious" with a non standard profile, causing a very noisy valve train. I changed those to mk3 ones. What I also did, but might repel the purists, was changing front and back wheels to 19" WM3 with avon roadrider back and 21" WM2 with Bridgestone BT45 front. It now corners really outstanding. I m more sceptical about the brakes though. Most likely I'll go for a 6" TLS next year as this resembles the original appearance better than the 8" brakes and seems to do a way better job than the original.

You never mentioned the unique rear suspension, kind of like the bike is hinged in the middle. Any riding impressions about that?

Chris said there were a lot of details that were cut from the footage for the sake of keeping the vid light and tight. He's a huge fan of the suspension set up on these and says they ride great.
