Pee (both mine and my dogs) works great on helping my lawn's thin spots. Also, it makes the pee spots super green! Seriously.

I’ve added humichar 3 times starting last spring. I wish I could afford a monthly application. That being said, I believe it still helps tremendously. I can even see the effects on large shrubs and trees in my yard. This stuff is great!!! Thank you for pointing out that new product with the fungi, I’m going to drop that before I fertilize.
@CentipedeCentralLawnCare9 ай бұрын
Awesome yeah if you can’t do monthly, every 6-8 weeks works or however often you can. Great to hear you are seeing the results

Just put down my Celsius WG application in my centipede lawn for the first time. Excited to see the results! looking forward to an video from you on what you've been doing in your lawn.

Thanks, be patient with the the results. I wish it was quicker but it does work well!

You are our missing link! Being new to centipede and literally learning how to have a healthy green lawn without weeds is like going back to college. Thank you for all this great information! You said to apply it monthly. Is that throughout the whole year? We live on NC coast. Thanks again.
@CentipedeCentralLawnCare5 ай бұрын
You can definitely do throughout the whole year but I typically do throughout the growing season from about March-Oct. thanks for watching!

I'm really glad to have found your channel! I've watched several of your videos and I now realize that I didn't know what I was doing with my centipede lawn. I bought the house 3 years ago and it looked ok, but had quite a few weeds. I pulled the weeds and used Scotts Bonus S Southern Weed & Feed the last 2 springs (2022 and 2023) The lawn looked great last year, but I mowed it too long 3" and now it's basically dead dry grass with very little grass actually growing. I've raked out most of he dead and just wondering what to do now? The yard is in full sun in Columbia, SC.
@CentipedeCentralLawnCare8 ай бұрын
Thanks! Now that you’ve raked out some dead stuff you are probably ready to fertilize and just mow consistently throughout the year at 1.5-2”. Obviously there are some more things you can do but Watch other vids for more thorough information/explanations to get a good idea of what centipede does and doesn’t like

I used humic acid and sea kelp last year on my lawn and it works great. I use a liquid sprayed it on every week my lawn was green all winter campared to my neighbors even with 2 feet of snow on it. I also use a liquid iron and i found some stuff save a tree its a molasses type stuff i sprayed that down too. The mycro fungi needs a sugar to feed on. My yard is greener than anybody around. Feed the soil and your yard will get better year after year it takes a couple years but its worth it in the long run.

@treed34768 ай бұрын
@aat3tville181 I also have some of the simple lawn solutions I try to mix those in once a month with the other stuff. My lawn was great last year the best it's ever been so hopefully this year it gets even better.

THANKS! 👍 I've been following your excellent videos for a couple of years. I applied Tenacity a couple of weeks ago before the centipede grass start waking up. Right now, the weeds have all turned white.. kind ugly, but at least the Tenacity is working. :) Last year, I applied the Lowe's 16-0-10 fertilizer like you recommended and it worked great. Do you still use the same fertilizer? Thanks again! :)🙂
@CentipedeCentralLawnCare9 ай бұрын
Thanks! I’ve heard Tenacity is good stuff I may have to try it. I’m probably going to use the StaGreen 16-0-10 unless something else catches my eye.

It looks like the Farmer's Almanac product is no longer available on Amazon. I also noticed the Sta Green product you used last year from Lowe's is no longer as well.
@CentipedeCentralLawnCare9 ай бұрын
I saw the StaGreen at my local Lowe’s today. You should be able to order on Lowe’s website and get it delivered to your local store for free. My local Walmart had the Farmers Almanac 10-0-2 last year but not seeing it this year!

What application rate do you suggest if I wanted to alternate HumicDG and CarbonPro-G monthly on my lawn? I have never added soil amendments before so should I apply at a higher rate to get started?
@CentipedeCentralLawnCare8 ай бұрын
On my spreader I typically use a 5 setting so that’s about 3-4 pounds of product per 1000 sq ft. You can definitely go a little heavier starting out

Great seeing new videos been following for 3 yrs! Have you checked Andersons new product called Ecofusion Plus? Has everything the 16-0-8 version has but also all the micronutrients!! I’m gonna try it

I have a bad thatch problem in my front centipede yard. I noticed it 2 years ago. I have a very sandy soil. How can I save my front yard?
@CentipedeCentralLawnCare7 ай бұрын
See video on “should you dethatch centipede”. Also it may just be debris that can be gently raked out with standard rake.

Hi, my centerpiece grass is now showing purple blades, what’s the cause? Should I be concerned? Thank you
@CentipedeCentralLawnCare8 ай бұрын
Could be potassium deficiency, stress of weather temp changes or stress from foot traffic

Middle Ga centipede. Do i apply humichar or biochar? i have never used a soil conditioner with clay type soil. AND core aerate then apply biochar or humichar? or apply then core aearate?
@CentipedeCentralLawnCare9 ай бұрын
Yes aerating first and then applying carbon would be great
@jwm25329 ай бұрын
Have you applied postemergents yet (Celsius, Atrazine) or are you waiting for a couple of soil applications then doing postemergents? Or can you mix the weed control in between soil apps? I did a round of Humic DG a week ago, looking to apply Celsius in a week or two, then considering adding that Carbon ProG you mentioned.
@CentipedeCentralLawnCare9 ай бұрын
Yeah waiting a bit more for green-up to fully complete. The soil apps can be done anytime. That’s a good plan

I owed my centipede grass success to your channel.. having been watching for over a year. thanks! just want to share an experience with the latest fertilizer I bought from Costco. It's called "Scotts MAX Southern Lawn Food, 14,000 Sq. Ft" Item 1774595. it's actually 32-0-9. I got it last month and applied at 50% rate just to see if my centipede grass would like it. Turns out that it works great! The warmer temps and frequent rains must also have helped. It produced a nicer green and the grass have been growing strongly..... 50% was probably already a bit much... perhaps 25% would have been enough. :)
@CentipedeCentralLawnCare8 ай бұрын
Thank you 🙏, I appreciate you watching! I think half rate on that product will be fine, probably around .5lbs N per 1000... Nice to see it has worm castings and kelp meal too
