Discernment: Discerning of Spirits. Abigail was Discerning because she was able to identify the difference between a good spirit and a bad spirit. Even though Nabel was her own husband she knew he was a devil. The son of Belial. A drunken foolish evil man. She knew how to deal with the facts in her home and did not sugar coat the reality and dealt with it with sincerity and honesty. The truth eventually set her free.

Discernment is something that can only be done through the holy spirit. The holy spirit determines whether a spirit is good or evil. 1 John 4:1-5 King James Version (KJV) 4 Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.
