"For you have need of endurance, so that when you have done the will of God, you may receive what was promised." -Hebrews 10:36
THE TIME IS NOW! Can my 1969 Dodge Charger be brought back to life after sitting for years? We start back guns blazing with floor pans and paint! It's just a matter of time before we make Hot Rod Power Tour and Holley MoParty! Think we can make it?

we appreciate the content Dylan! I would like to say a big thank you to you for keeping these vehicles alive. I’m not entirely sure if you are like me or not but I do not enjoy seeing vehicles sit and rot. cars were made to be driven and I think you see that. I am almost 18 and as soon as I can I’m gonna try and start saving vehicles just like you have. I’m from Arkansas and there’s a bunch of abandon cars here so I think I could do pretty well. anyways man as said before appreciate the content. Keep this going!

I love the overall look of the car. Those old Chargers are my favorite Mopar muscle cars. You did an excellent job on the interior, but before you reinstall the tire for your seat, you'll want to clean it up nice, repaint the rim, and put some tire black on the tire. It's got to look nice. 😊

This brings me back to the long-term project cars where you would see wheels, brakes, floorpans, and suspension. I really do enjoy those long-term projects, these short-term ones are good don't get me wrong, they just don't fully scratch the itch. I will always come back to watch another project by Dylan McCool, they are awesome it does however give me the bug to find my own old car to rebuild and restore.

Thank you for sharing the work on the Charger, Brother Dylan. A lot of YT channels are all about getting these great old cars driving again (i.e., engine, drive train, suspension, brakes) and they'll clean the interior and replace/repair seats if they're too broken/nasty to sit on. But you are going the extra mile and restoring the interior. It's going to look great and run great. Keep up the good work.

I felt physical pain when you were describing the history and the power tour driving experience. 🤣 I think you should do a montage of sliding across the hood of each version of the car, maybe climbing in through the window. Like progressively dejected hood slides .....🤣 It will ride again soon! Insane amount of work you've done and continue to do on this beast.

Best way to weld in a patch panel is to have a inch of overlap then seam seal the edges, or best way possible is to use the whole section welding where the factory did ideally with a spot welder. Doing a butt weld is the most difficult to cut and weld.

Excellent video Dylan :) , Bryer :) also super work did on 1969 Dodge Charger floor repairs and looking nice done too 100 well done guys! Also say welding was terrible at first do arc , mig if saw mine years ago though was make track for dink go over speed bumps also yes Lol ! But got better of practicing up and trail also errors give more better feeling do right from wrongs ! Project did for my High School Automotive Mechanics shop & tech classes with welding was put 1976 Chevrolet Impala LS 4 door car above like cab on my late dad 1968 International 624 Detroit Desiel motor farm 2 wheel drive and took me 6 months do up got 96.8 % final mark for my grade 10 year for 4 hours each day ! Yes had get stuff from metal dealer and hardware store plus welding store too ! But my late dad & uncle help out too on some lady friend of my family help me learning welding better to ! Was done welding rods of Lincoln type with 6011 rods ! If saw it how looking you say that so cool was not inclose cab with doors also windows was top only ! Fun part farmer and his wife bought farm with tractors, combine, machinery on home farm 1997 still has my welding hood project on tractor too saw it in January 2024 !
