The FD Interior creaks squeaks and clacks so much. Recommendation. Put thin foam tape on every plastic trim piece edge. Takes a few hours but it’s worth it. Especially center console. Then get the Bubbletech center console support. Also to make sure the door cubby doesn’t break again cut a piece of plastic the same shape as where the screw sits in then countersink it and use as a washer. Those break because you open and close using that pocket and the only thing holding it down is a tiny screw so it widens the plastic hole and eventually snaps it completely.

RX7 is absolutely your best car! I’m so glad you’ll never sell it, it really is a work of art and I love the white paint job, the blue rims with the red seats! The carbon hood you said you were going to paint but now it has grown on me and it just sets it off just right!

I great trick for jdm interior pieces that have broken clips is to glue neodenium magnets to the panel and to the body so the panel will stay in place strong but easily removable still

Invest in a 3d scanner, and 3d printer so whenever you get rare plastic interior bits you can scan them and print them with high quality filament whenever you need to replace it in the future. could also fav and sell them for anyone that would want them as well.

I think with how technology is now and 3D printing, we should be able to scan and make a lot of these interior or engine bay parts. I’m surprised no one has done it yet. He’s definitely right about rx7 parts. Getting harder and harder to find and stuff for the FC is getting scarce as I’m finding out.

You can use the same adhesive you used to attach parking sensors to attach the plastic standoffs. Glob it on around each and it holds great.

I know you guys use 2 part epoxy but for any plastics.. i use Shoe Glue. Clear or Black depending on your preference. I reckon give it a try :)
