Cheers from my fishroom channel in Chicago, where I'm happy to support yours :) Actually the algae buildup is the kind that is not unhealthy and easy to rectify. It's on glass not plants and honestly you can use an old credit card to clean glass. The green water in fine for the fish and more of an aesthetic concern. In short you're good.

Thank you for your support! I love your channel!! Glad to hear that the algae isn’t as harmful as I thought.

@@Taylorgritz no more just a good knowledge the tanks look good but i am noticing alot of things you can easily fix and if want you tanks to be fine while your gone consider making a set up you dont have to touch at all i have a few tank i never do water changes on and went a few months with out food

That’s the plan! I typically have self sustaining tanks as far as not having to do water changes and other maintenance. Like I said in the video it’s only because both lights ended up not working like they should. Causing the algae

You don't need a razor blade. Just use regular steel wool. They don't scratch glass (just make sure no sand or gravel particles get unto it, because those will scratch the glass).

I’ve never thought of using that, that’s a good idea. Only thing is sometimes the razor blade scraper makes it’s easier to get in those tight crevices.

I'm planning for leaving to work abroad soon. So I'm literally building an outdoor fishpond (I live in the tropics) so my nano fish can survive, and hopefully breed while I'm gone. LOL
