The color removed itself because the hot water opened up the hair shaft which is where the color lives! I would suggest after letting it cool to put conditioner on it, combing it through and rinse with lukewarm/cool water to close the shaft back up and add the moisture in it!

I like putting a protein treatment and coconut oil on my wet extensions and the putting in a ziplock and microwaving for 1 minute works great as well! let cool for a few hours or leave over night to cool. helps seal the cuticle down when it cools and locks in the protein .

You can revive synthetic wig, by using flat iron on wet wig. It really works on synthetic hair.

great idea. Just so you know, olive oil removes color from the hair. You can actually use it full strength and leave in over night and lighten hair without heat.

OMG I am in so much shock , this works so good. I just did differently I let the water boil until it was hot, but before I use a different type of oil, an coconut conditioner. Afterward I cut it off let it set for about 5 min to cool off then gently dipped my hair in until it was fully submerged. It was gorgeous. I ran an got 2more out of my closet an tried them beautiful. Thank you so much. You are a life saver.

The red didn't stick because heat opens the hair scales, where the color is to be found. :) red is the hardest color to have and maintain :) Red is soooo nice, but such a pain! To keep your red color longer (or any color for that same matter) you'll always have to rinse it with lukewarm water, so the scales won't open up as much due to heat and the color remains a little longer... and top it off with a conditioner; this closes the scales/shaft and keeps the color inside the hair. Don't forget to mention, a lovely soft finish! Happy weaving :D

😂I got bumped, I thought I bought straight Virgin Ali express hair only to wash it and find out that it's actually curly and matts up super easily. now I boil it with conditioner, olive oil and coconut oil only to find dark purplish brown water in to pot during the boiling process.😂😂 This "Virgin" hair has been dyed and I've been cheated out of my money😁. The dye came off because holding the water opens the hair shaft, and it soked in the water so yes that will happen permanent or rinse. But with a perminent might just fade. So the color won't be as loud as it originally was.

So I just tried this method and all it did was straighten my hair so it's easy to comb however when I was done I gave them bundles a quick wash and my bundles was like new again. Next time I'll just skip this unnecessary step and just wash and condition like I usually do. Thanks for sharing tho!!

Hey, I think lighter hair will boil just fine. Go heavier on the conditioner because if the hair is lighter, that more than most likely means it was bleached to achieve that coloring. So, you want to give it as much nutrients and shine as possible to retain softness and manageability. Thanks so much for watching! :)

I'm sorry that you had that experience! :( Out of the hundreds of people that have had success, there are bound to be some who have none. Many things could have attributed to the reason yours did not work and other people's did. (Difference in hair, hair quality, amount of water, amount of time boiled.) It could be anything. However, I assure you that the hair you saw in the pot on the video was the hair in my head at the end of the video. This is definitely something you try at your own risk. Again I'm sorry all of that happened to you. Thank you for coming back with feedback so that others can make their own decisions.
