Really wouldn't bother about weight saving by drill holes in the cross member. The whole car is so heavily built anyway, it won't make any difference. Good that your king pins were ok, mine were pretty shot and one front spring was broken!

Thanks for the comment Mark! Im on the same thought as you & have decided to leave them as you'll see in the next few videos. Yes! very lucky with the King Pins however still needed to replace the wheel bearings etc, not so fun, dirty job!

@@reevoracing Yes I also replaced the bearings. They were the original ones I think, at least they were Timkin branded.

@@reevoracing I guess you've already found that a lot of new parts are pretty rubbish quality! I try to rebuild whatever I can or if I'm lucky I get new old stock NOS, bits. If you're in the MGOC. I've got a rebuild thread on the MG Chat forum.

@@markdavis2475 I am on the MGOC. It tbh didn’t really find it helpful, however a full rebuild thread would be interesting, how do I find it?

@@reevoracing On the "MG Chat" forum, look for "MGB GT It's a bit of a (Baltic) State!" It should be on the first page. No updates this week as Im visiting the UK.
