Such a down to Earth and honest journey through every build keep them coming!! I personally loved the long video but wouldn’t normally have the time to watch so 20-25 would be the sweet spot for me. Just keep the detail, that is the best part for me.

@RevivingSalvage9 күн бұрын
Thanks paul, the lift is a fantastic addition. If i was you i would definitely invest in one, you could fit it in your garage and pull it outside when you needed to use it. You probably struggle like me rolling around on the floor, This dont half speed up the process. Thank you for the continued support, subbed for over 4 years! love500 OG SUBSCRIBER! P.S don't be sorry for the S1 i love that car! I'm currently working on the final video.

Hi mate nice to see you are still going for it I have the same ramp as you know great ramp I have all so just done the same thing I took a car in unrecorded KA 2012 needed more work then your one gear box clutch timing belt etc etc 🤣just sold it for £2500
@RevivingSalvage23 күн бұрын
Yeah I remember when you had it bud you paid £800 for it, you were very lucky with that purchase. The KA’s an easy car to repair but to sell in my area is another thing, I’ve just reduced it £1695 with Still no interest, so count yourself lucky you had over 2k. You’re doing really well with all your cars 🚗 bud I would want nothing more than to do this full time but unfortunately it’s selling that lets it all down. The ramp is the best purchase I’ve ever made and it definitely makes a massive difference working on the cars. I’ve loved the look of yours ever since you got it. You never know one day I might be doing this full time.
@ResurwreckAutosUK23 күн бұрын
@ mate I really hope you do the only thing that I wish I can change is I definitely should have done this sooner it doesn’t pay half what I was making working for some one else but I’m so much happier and so is all my family I wish you all the luck maybe next year will be the year for you 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

Top tip for future & this comes from 40 + years of experience when trying to crack wheel bolts don't try to do it by pushing down on the bar pull the bar up as 1 you can put more weight into it and 2 when it cracks you are less likely to hurt yourself

Nice story! Nice format, really nice work and a top bloke taking us on a nice ride. Very sane. Diabolical! You said this is a hobby so you don't cost your time and labour. How much time (life) did you spend on this renovation, spannering and administrative work? You are going to sell it so it would be rational to know what your effort is worth. You can't cost elapsed time, unless you're paying interest or have opportunity costs. Thanks.

Excellent video all the better for being just one long one,the ramps great I watched when you refurbished the garage and it did cross my mind as no doubt it did yours about an height problem just keep your eyes on it😂we used to work from a small garage and to save space if we were welding etc we would put the seats on the roof of the car and my mate jacked a car up and caved the roof in😂just one small criticism the brake fluid level was too high I use turkey baster to remove excess fluid nice clean way to do it other than that keep going as you are tons better than these stupid idiots that keep cropping up thinking they are the next mat Armstrong,take care mate 👋

@richlee557819 күн бұрын
@ yeh I knew brake fluid level should not exceed the max line but I wasn’t sure why so I googled it and apparently in warm weather or the brakes get hot it expands which can lock the brakes on 😂and yeh the other thing I mentioned was a bad day especially as we were doing it for a new customer 😂😂

I've been down that road before, on a previous fiat 500, its a fine line on how much time, money you spend on a car for very little return. If this was a more expensive car then I would agree but for a cheap run about I think its perfectly serviceable, But I appreciate the feedback cheers

I was just saying 'long block of weed on a trolley jack' to push the lower arm up, then heh presto, out you came with a chunk

PMLS, cheers bud you made my night! It does look like that but honestly its plastic

Generally. Leave the small CC small car diesels unless half the price of the petrol and can go on with it standing in at nowt. The GM diesel 1.3 are strangled unless mega well serviced. They do struggle with bad owners.

What happened to your scissor lift you had in there? Was this video recorded before you obtained it?
@RevivingSalvage23 күн бұрын
Yes it was recorded before, if you watch the complete video then you will see me using it for the first time lol 😂

Very true! When I was editing the video I was thinking the same thing, I went through all the hassle on the breaks etc I should have just replaced the tyre 🛞 never mind

Nice video! It would be nice if you would roughly track how much time it took, even if it is "free"...

I don’t have enough room on my white board lol 😂 it does take a while due to the fact, everything takes longer when filming and editing plus in a full time job it’s spread over a long period. But I will see what I can do if you think 🤔 it will help

Not really high mileage for a 15 yr old motor,it's done less than 8k per year, so I think your on a winner
@RevivingSalvage22 күн бұрын
Very true, some people think if its above 100k then its high, but when you break it down to yearly mileage then its average miles cheers for watching

My Fiat 500 has the same issue with the wiper arms 🙄
@RevivingSalvage9 күн бұрын
Its a very common problem, but a very easy fix, with some wet n dry sandpaper and some satin black spray paint, It will make them look like new!

is crazy how my peugeout 308 2014 with 120.000 miles is worth the same as a ford ka,arguably the peugeout is a better car however meintanance and repairs are a lot more expensive

Why take the risk of the glow plugs snapping if they was no fault? Its a 1500£ car!
@RevivingSalvage19 күн бұрын
They are a service item that normally gets overlooked, normally every 50k I like to change them as it does make a difference to the running of the car, plus I like living on the edge lol 😂
@mickmurphy9219 күн бұрын
@ i get it I do this sort of thing myself I have to hold back when its a profit project. If you didn’t do them & someone came to view and ask if they were done, id then say I can get them done you leave a deposit is how I look at it now. Anyway the battery powered car lift is one of the most inventive & resourceful things I’ve ever seen fair play!

Why did you release this after the garage update? Complete nonsense
@RevivingSalvage9 күн бұрын
If you watch the complete video or watch the end then you will see the lift being used, The Ka was being completed in-between the garage build so I couldn't release this before as it would spoil the surprise, but thanks for the feedback!
