Would this be suitable for extreme exercising like, running, cycling long distance, etc? I need something like this because the volume of my leg changes due to physical activities that I engage in aside from normal daily ware. I know you won't tell me, but I have to ask. How much does this go for?

Hello! Thanks for writing! YES, the Revofit system is fantastic for active sports. The volume change you experience can be accommodated for easily by dialing in the fit. Many patients dial in more tension during exercise to ensure proper fit, but some actually just for more room as their muscles expand during exercise. Either way, it is a fantastic solution. In regards to cost, the RevoFit solution is priced for accessibility for all amputees and can easily be integrated into a socket by your practitioner. The end cost for the solution is somewhat variable as it depends on the time it takes for your practitioner to fabricate your socket. But overall, the pricing is very reasonable. is there a weight limit on these sockets? im in uk and put weight on due to stuck in a wheel chair over 3 years now leg is good i want a decent socket so i can do my cycling kayaking walking

Hi Stephen! Congratulations on your recovery! Im happy to hear that you making progress towards walking again! Our weight limit recommendations is as follows: For Patients at or near 100 kg: use one RevoFit system. If a patient is over 100KG then we recommend using two RevoFit systems to accommodate for the extra weight. Of course there are various design accomodations that can be applied by your prosthetist to also help accommodate for weight. We are happy to help with this! Jimmy Capra thanx so much for this iv got an appointment on the 20th so will put this to her. I think I'd benefit from this system as I do tend to fluctuate and I hate wearing Sox as this defeats the object and increases the temperature hence having to put more socks on

As a newly amputee, knee disart., my prosethisis has recommended the revofit reversa for me. I am curious if this type of socket is right for me, because I have alot of volume changes. Could you please guide me to whomever I can talk to. thank you

Sounds really impressive. IT IS NOT! I had one made after months of fittings and measurements. It doesn't fit. Not even close. They claim adjustability for daily volume changes BUT they fail to find a reasonable starting size from which to start from, thus the bragged about adjustability range is mostly unusable. I called and spoke to the person in Florida that made this video. He is an arrogant horses behind, unwilling to fit a socket. I ask all amputees to search else ware as Revo-Fit will disappoint you and you will find yourself always frustratingly uncomfortable. And a tip is never to use an adjustable socket with braided nylon "string" cables for adjustment as it stretches, making this adjustable socket unable to compensate for smaller volume changes. It's useless in my opinion. -Mike Lord (Michigan)

Dear M Lord, We are sorry to hear that your experience with your Revo-Fit socket was not positive. Clearly, the process of fitting and designing your socket was not done in a way that was conducive to you being able to benefit from the technology. That is truly unfortunate. We are just launching a new process of enabling practitioners to design Adjustable sockets WITH THE PATIENT. . This process allows them to try the fit and function BEFORE the definitive socket is fabricated. This new process would have allowed you to try the socket in the Check Socket phase, optimize fit, test the function, and truly design it to your needs. Im sure that this process would have helped greatly and regret that the process was developed AFTER your socket was fabricated. However, please talk to your prosthetist to help you get your existing socket to fit. There are many ways to TUNE the fit of an adjustable socket and it is very likely that they can get your socket to fit well. We are happy to help your prosthetist accomplish this goal. Please have your prosthetist call our Fabrication hotline ([phone]) and we can likely help them work on your socket to get it to work. We are here to improve your experience and empower you to adjust your socket daily. We hope we can help!

Jimmy Capra. Now I understand. The prosthetist is the one constantly adjusting the fit. How many years shall I expect to be unable to use your socket? I must say, you provide job security to the prosthetist$. Oh, and I have been fitted by your latest and greatest procedures. Now excuse me while I crawl back to my wheelchair. My socket is at my prosthetis awaiting yet another adjustment. Boy, these things are great. D/A!

I make my own and can actually walk. After 1 year of test sockets and holes and and and I couldn't walk out of the office that was supposed to help me walk. I can see the benefits of these in theory, but looks to like to many moving parts to a ballet dance in a china shop on a greased floor. Life as a legless person.

It is great to hear some straight talk from amputees.......I have been an amputee for 47 years now and have seen so much crap. It would have been much better to see an amputee wearing and adjusting this socket and then I can see how well he walks.
