@JasonLee Thank you for creating this platform. I appreciate the fact that you seek guest that are “controversial”. Society will try to box you in. Especially those in the public eye. I personally feel like what you do is needed and that you do it purposely. I adore Ms. Lavern! One question that stood out to me, personally, was the question (topically) about being “queer” in the black community.. For me, even though I identify differently than Ms. Lavern I feel we are of the same side of the coin(so to speak). I was born female and the only thing I don’t like about it is that weekly visit from aunt flow every month lol but in similarity I’ve tried out other presentations and what I’m attracted to. I’m 29 now but before adulthood, once me and my peers had an understanding of sexuality. I would always say I like girls and boys. There was always the question of what are you? And that question alone made me question the same to myself. As I’ve gotten older and explored my sexuality. I feel I still don’t have a box to check. I’ve been with both men and women. But I do find myself attracted to trans men and women. The best way I could answer the question of what is your sexuality?.. is that I’m open. My attention to a person might start with but isn’t based on presentation alone. My attraction to a person comes after I have gotten to know them. Sex to me is not just fun. I believe that sex is a intimate conversation between bodies. But before you can have my body you have to capture my mind. So I don’t feel I have a sexual preference as far as how another person presences. Hope that makes sense lol

“Everything that has been born of anti-ism is also born of ignorance.” Quote me; Taryn K. What I mean by that is history will teach you what you what you thought you knew. Another quote.. “Repetition is knowledge” So if you are taught that something is wrong you will believe it’s wrong. Not everything is wrong. It may not be right for you but that doesn’t mean it’s not right for someone else. We have to let go of these sigmas and find our own happiness.

When Laverne had the conversation regarding Jada/Will -- I love how the public speak on things that they no nothing about. At the end of the day we don't personally know these people. We pass judgement from the convenience of our homes. We are in such a weird time. Social Media really got people out here thinking they are experts on everything. It's so bizarre!
