I grew up in Miami and Khaled was the top DJ at the time. His 99 Jamz mix would shut the city down. I’m in high school with friends at Pembroke mall. I noticed Khaled by himself and I called his name. This is before fan love and all that he b lines it to me. Shakes all my homies hands and thanked us for listening to him. When he walks away my homies ask “You know Dj Khaled?”. That was the first time I ever seen him in person. I saw him 2-3 times after that and it was always the same energy. He acted like he knew you for years. Everything you see about fan love is real. It’s not an act he’s not doing it for promo.
