Yeah, Nas said the same thing about The Firm Album originally supposed to be fully produced by Dr. Dre. The main issues I hear that effected the project are when the Track Masters and Steve Stout got involved. Plus the other label politics that Nature mentioned on his episode.

I just want to know why he ain't blow up like that? Because that brother had next. He's respected as a 🐐 lyricist and all that but you can't tell me son wasn't deserving of the industry push. It's almost as if the Firm album was his last major feature until he legit became 'underground' despite the actual talent he has. To me it would've been easier for him to transition to the early 2000s and ride the puffy/mase train. (PAUSE)

I wish people would stop bringing up the damn Firm with Mega. Its been addressed and everybody moved on. Mega has put out quality album after quality album since then. He's proved that he doesn't need anyone and not being in the Firm didn't slow him down. Mega doesn't want to relive or relitigate that bullshit because it will be spun as him being bitter with Nas. He was pissed at Nas and Nature at times when he had reason to be pissed at Nas and Nature. When what needed to be said was said, Mega dropped it entirely. There is no bitterness. He is way too smart and humble to waste time on unnecessary fights; he just fights like a lion when he's in one. He expects others to do the same. That's why he responded the way he did.

You can't say that because between him and EFN, he's more connected to the majority of his guests. Nore's antics are kinda what makes Drink Champs, what it is. Aside from that, I feel you. In this interview, I found he was less belligerent than he usually be, maybe out of respect for QB or because Mega had him sober.
