I never got off into N.O.R.E. back in the day…only his collaborations with Tribe…so I knew he was a LEGEND. Just didn’t get around to doing my homework. I remember when Comm used to run into the record store I worked at in Hyde Park, Chicago to check on his J Card to see how many units “Can I Borrow A Dollar?” had sold. KRS ONE did an in store that same year and KRS had Midnight Marauders playing in his cd Walkman…but yeah…KRS taught us all about vegetarianism when he said: “Beef…what a relief…when will this poisonous product cease?…” I miss dem days…but I love 💕 what Drink Champs is doin today for the culture.
