I take it that will void the warranty. I heard the commercial motors are sealed so they do not have that problem with the oil on a slope. Time will tell, looks like a great mower.

I have 2 McLanes with that same engine. I just put a little extra oil in the crankcase (like 15 ml) at a time until the engine doesn't shut off on a slope. Usually 30 ml (or about 1 oz) is enough.

It's not really a problem as much as a "feature" that can cause issues on some lawns.
