I have a complicated relationship with this song. It's kinda my baby, but it also represents a version of Undertoad that our team left behind years ago. If you haven't been made aware already, this song is no longer canon to Undertoad. At the time of this upload, the official Undertoad comic is 21 chapters in, and we'll be beginning the next major arc in a few weeks. We have no plans to make an "official" Mario fight until the Pacifist story is complete, and when we do, it will be scored with an entirely different, entirely new composition. I thought about listing out the motifs as they appear, but I feel like that would be doing a disservice to Drop, Star, and myself. Most of the "motifs" that do still exist within Revolution are adapted to the point of being unrecognizable, while the others are so recognizable that pointing them out would feel a bit redundant. It's more fun to leave things open to interpretation. See if you can identify them all.

I personally believe it’s a sign of growth when AUs break away from the Megalo-mold and embrace their own sound for the Judgement Hall confrontation. This is definitive proof that this AU is so much more than “Maro as Sands lawlz.” We’ve come a long way, and I can’t wait to see where we go next ^_^

It’s kinda strange. We see Mario aging in the games, with Odyssey he needs to breathe. Yet Smash Ultimate calls Bowser his “Eternal Rival”. It is a rivalry, but I can only see it being eternal on one side: the Koopa side

A game where the special part of all the games are in one, the cream luma, cappy, F.L.U.U.D., every powerup, every species made in the games, all together, helping Mario get back something ultimately powerful, something like a Power Sun, as bowser is escaping with it, he sees all of his friends helping him, the final ally to help is Luigi, as this happens, bowser slowly analyzes everything happening, how Mario has done this, how he has made a extremely vast army of friends, constantly helping him with whatever comes his way, giving love to him, like he did to them, he slowly realizes exactly what he is doing wrong, the final person he sees is junior, then they deliver the last blow, bowser falls, but grabs Mario with him, they both fall far deep down into the burning lava, as everybody begins to shed tears, Mario was gone, until the Power Sun slowly lifts up, lifting the bowser onto a glowing platform, as Mario is holding on to a small block, but by bit it begins falling apart, bowser has an ultimatum, what does he choose? Go against everything he’s done and built up to for years and years, save his nemesis, and restore the peace, or let him fall, and conquer everybody under him, he looks around, the block breaking quicker and quicker, he orders the Power Sun to take him down, Mario prepares for him to deal a final blow, finally win and take over the kingdoms, he doesn’t get hit, he slowly opens one eye, to see bowsers hand, reaching, to help him from his demise, he quickly grabs bowsers hand, bowser pulls him up quite quickly, Mario gives him a look of confusion and thankfulness, in which bowser orders to go up, Mario and bowser slowly get off the platform to greet the worried Luigi and bowser jr, both hugging their respective friends in joy. They all leave and return the Power Sun, going back home to their kingdoms. Mario Luigi peach and the rest of the main ally’s get together to have a victory feast at a table in the castle, they hear a knock at the door, it’s bowser, Mario readies himself for another duel, when they open the door, he brought the koopalings and junior, but not for an attack. To join the feast, and make amends. That’s the end of this wacko story, lemme know if it sucks or not, which it’s probably the first.

DustToad would be super interesting, since instead of gaining levels (not LV in Mario) stop one species, he might gain levels to win the game. But he doesn’t kill everyone underground, just more minions, because his goal is to free the Mushroom Kingdom because enough is enough, so killing Peach and stuff would be contradictory. Bowser will get angry, so he might be the reason why this DustTale variant never succeeds, as he will hinder Mario’s focus on the Shroobs, because Bowser is too blind to see freedom before vengeance. I felt like saying this because the Shroobs are what they’re rising up against, but the song is named after the prototype name for the Wii. So I was just thinking of what an UnderToad Revolution involving Mario would actually be like, and the closest I could think of is DustToad.

What I really like about this track is that it’s a melody in case you haven’t already noticed. Like the 3 death jingles you hear & the sped up game over afterwards at the beginning, representing your 3 lives in the original game. (You have 3 at the start of Super Mario Bros.) Or how you can hear Super Mario World’s boss theme at the point in which you encounter Mario’s final attack in the non-canon version of the fight.

In UnderToad, the “Toad” is a Shroob. The Shroobs trapped the Mushroom Kingdom underground. Shruby has a mission to wipe them out. Mario is planning to be their guardian, while Luigi reluctantly tries to trap them. Of course, on genocide Mario would change his mind after Shruby kills Luigi.

This my my favorite MEGALOVANIA ever. I love the Mario motifs, and it’s almost twice as long as the classic, without sounding repetitive. It has awesome, sad, and catchy. UnderToad is one of my favorite AU’s. People don’t “replace” other people. The Mario fight is fan made, but is one of the best fights, only behind Ink IMO. It has Mario motifs, multiple lives, and items. And of course, it plays this.
