Why not uses the tool that the AR was designed around? You have 30 of them in the magazine attached to the firearm.

This is a variation of a carpenters tool for removing hinge pins on a door and setting nails. Great idea.

They actually have a line of those as well called the HIT Tools.

When he was explaining how everyone gets a wage I’m thinking “here goes some b*****it insane high price tag” then he said “$34.99” hahaha yeah I gotta have one!

I hope that you patented it so that you can sue whoever tries to copy your design. That's one thing I like about my AK-74 and my Mosin Nagant 91-30. You use parts of the rifle to take down the rifle. You don't need any extra or special tools.

I've had nail sets (for finish carpentry) for several years that use this spring hammer system. It's a good idea to use that concept for AR pins. It's more precise than a hammer and punch.

I have one of these and it is VERY well made. Ive used spring nail sets for at least 20 years and was essential being a finish carpenter. Now, i have a tool for my AR rifles.. yes the Hk 416 pins are a pain to punch and i did the finish the first time i tried to punch the pins with a regular punch and small hammer. Great idea, i hope I never lose my AR take down tool like i did my spring nail set several times.

Since this video was posted, the tool has gone up $5. It is now $39.99.

I don’t know if that means he’s trying to recover from unanticipated lack of sales, or finding out that the expectations of revenue it’s as high as he predicted?..For such a novelty item that one might rarely use or purchase, it sure is quite involved in a manufacturing aspect. which translates into being to inexpensive to generate substantial revenue due to the fact that the item is way to expensive to manufacture, package, and distribute, for the original planed price. Biggest challenge is who’s really going to buy it for a higher mark up when most enthusiasts have already acquired the necessary tools and technique that they’ve already become accustomed to? Which once again, might be one of the issues to begin with.

Can’t you open the take down pins with your hand? Isn’t that the point?
@angeldesigns13856 күн бұрын
Yes it is and I’m sure your success rate from doing so, is probably a bit like mine, which is around 99.99% without having to reach for a tool…Let’s just look at the reality of where everything counts. If I break that thing out at the range to disable my gun, I’m ether going to be kicked out, or laughed out, for being such a Dbagg

I watched this video so my pessimistic, grumpy old man, negative bastard side could laugh and scoff at another 1000 in 1 tool but…it pains me to say…I’m ordering one immediately. That thing is f****n sick!!

Brother, all you have to do is SHOW IT! to those pins and I promise those things will run out of there on their own faster than you can blink.

Question! What about the one pin that drives me nuts! The Gasblock pin? Or do we need to still use a brass hammer and punch?
@armsdirectory Жыл бұрын
Good question! This will work on that as well.

Roll pin holder from Brownells to get started and then the proper Brownells punch.

He stole the idea from an older spring steel nail pinch. I literally just saw it on yt yesterday. And you only need a finger or bullet nose to pop a retention pin or trigger group. . The take down detention is handy though.

Yes but you can do the same thing with a $2 dollar clevis pin from Home Depot just match the size to your takedown pin the next time you stop in. Best $2 purchase I ever made.
