I like the style you present it in a practical way. Well done. Thank you. I might buy it too and combine with Stream Deck.

Thanks. I get lost in Keyboard Maestro sometimes, enjoyably fiddling with everything, and then using what seems to me to be a huge amount of features - but actually is still just a fraction of what that app can do.

Those are some really helpful and fancy macros!! I didn't quite get, how I'd actually be able to put them into Keyboard Maestro since I'm more of a beginner at that. Is there a way of downloading them? Loved the video, keep it up!!

Thank you. And hmm, I’ll have to think about this: I realise I’ve never tried downloading a Keyboard Maestro macro, I’ve always just copied them out by hand. But I think that was possibly because I knew I’d be changing them and very probably because they were only short things. Hmm.

@@WilliamGallagher Thanks for the reply!! I understand. Maybe there's a way how you can show the workflow within KM to set up your macros. Your stuff is next level :)

specifically at my MacBook Pro M1 A2442 I can like also at my older 2014 one, push command + delete and so I delete files and also confirm that I don't wanna save a file which I made up.

I'm not sure I follow you here. I know that Command-Delete will move a selected item to the trash, is that what you mean?

@@WilliamGallagher yes but it worked also for confirming, maybe not everywhere

A excellent introduction to Keyboard Maestro from an amiable and amusing chap. (I wonder if I can use KM to capture an image of his bookshelf and roam around extracting the titles and -- with the help of an image manipulation program and an OCR function from somewhere -- put the titles into a list that I can snoop through! ;

Quite distressingly, I can think of a way that you could indeed grab those book titles. Right, that's decided it: I am going to tidy up those shelves before anyone notices the disarray. Thank you - and this was a very nice message to read, thanks.

Can’t you use CMD Backspace to click the Delete Button? Many years ago it used to be CMD D, but Apple changed it. (I think with Mac OS X Lion)
@WilliamGallagher3 жыл бұрын
Do you mean to forward delete? (Er, I think that’s the term, I could be making it up. I mean when your cursor is in the middle of a line of text and instead of pressing Delete to erase back to the start, you press a key to erase forwards. There is a forward delete key on an extended keyboard but apparently you can also hold down the Function key and tap Delete to do this. I’m on an iPad right now and my Mac keyboard has no function key so I’ve not got a way to try this out. In other words, I’m guessing wildly.

Ever get stuck with "Keyboard Maestro" How To Select A File In An "Open File" Dialog ?
@WilliamGallagher2 жыл бұрын
No, but I have one that changes to a different folder in the Save dialog. Do you already know that within any Open or Save dialog you can type Command-Shift-G, paste in a folder path, then hit Return and it goes there? If you always want to open a particular document, that would do it. But I don't know what to suggest if you need to select different files every time.
