I don't agree with Mr Journe. (but I do respect him!) Why is someone suspicious when he/ she tries to contact several stores? The are just trying to buy a watch and the hope to have more chance to obtain one. Also: he is giving existing customers priority to complete their collection. I don't think this is correct. (But I do understand) Even I inquired about a watch and then they said they would rather sell each customer a watch so they can enjoy their masterpiece. It is then hard to accept that sometimes we have to wait years for a masterpiece while others get it thrown in their lap. Now we are expected to go in person to a boutique to justify why we would like to buy one. For me, this is 800 miles.... Too bad certain people who can't do this won't be able to buy their dream watch because of this. And if there are profiteers, there will always be those who slip through the net...

His boutiques are not meeting that goal, as I know someone who has never sold a watch and has only ever parted with a watch by giving it to someone who loves it more than he does as a gift, and that person was simply told he can't buy the one he wants without buying ones he doesn't want first.
