Revoscan 3D Scanner updated test on small and fine objects Feb 2024 using version 5.x RevoScan

‪@prometheusfalling‬ must admit in our last RevoPoint vs Seal 3D scanner review and testing we overlooked updating our Revopoint software. Based on your feedback we have returned to retest the Revopoint.
The results were impressive, and the new software is lightyears ahead from it's predecessor.

You should tilt the object 90 degrees and do a second scan, then you will have all the details.

Just press the ‘Fusion’ button after you press complete. You will then be able to zoom in. Or just press ‘One click’. Then you can see the details. The demo is incomplete without that especially if you can’t go closer to see the details.

Yeah he never meshed and finished the scan. And you should do around 300 frames in one rotation for best results. More will only add noise.

I have a pop2 and hate it, sometimes you lucky enough to get something, but its really hard to get anything meaningful

Yeah, I'm excited to see where more budget scanners go (I feel like a lot of progress is being made), but they've still got a ways to go. Still trying to get my POP3 to give decent results.

Only difference is a slightly higher dof and and a anti shake processor when in handheld.

The mini 1 has the smallest FOV of there scanner. Also fusing the point cloud will show the real scan. This is raw data it will show less quality. But great update video.

have you tried scanning thin obejects i want to 3d scan vintage 80's he man armor aprox 4 inch in size but the wall thickness and those pins that clip in are 2mm just a tad thicker than a blade of a knife

Good update video. I'd say your results are comparable to what I've been getting as well.
