Great helmet. Fits is outstanding and most importantly it works. I bounced my skull off the asphalt 2X during a wreck last year going 65 mph and I am hear to talk about it - not even a concussion. I give all credit to God but this helmet was part of protecting me.

I bought this helmet. Love it. Just don't particularly care for the fact that I have to push my glasses up super close to my eyes, to get them under the hide-away visor. Perhaps they should do some R&D and figure out a way to keep the visor a half inch more out and away from the face, to allow for those who were prescription lenses. Especially for folks (like me) who can't wear contacts.

Yeah, glasses are tricky. It's tough trying to design motorcycle helmets to fit everyone because there are so many variables involved from face shape, head length (front to back), eye-glass frames (thick, thin, small, big), etc. On top of those variables, narrow down helmets by your head shape and the pool to choose from becomes even shallower. We typically recommend finding a helmet that fits best (because that's hard enough), then selecting eye-glass frames that work well inside the helmet. Although, this can also be difficult. I have the Pit Boss, I use it instead of the Bell DLX drifter.which was discontinued. I don't use the flip down instead I have a pair of Airfoil photo chromatic Goggles that fit perfectly over my glasses. AND, I like the speed dial system, it worked great on the DLX and it works great on the PitBoss for a snug custom fit. I've worn other brain buckets that were either too loose or too tight.

Does the adjustment strap in the back interfere with a 5-pin headset that wraps behind the head for use with shorty helmets (IMC HS-G40P)

Does the speed dial system work with long hair? Looks like it would be placed over a ponytail and get in the way. Can you comment on this?

Yes, it can work with long hair, but you'd tie the ponytail lower down on the neck. -DrewZilla

The shield wouldn’t go down when I wear my prescription glasses. Other than that it’s a great helmet.

Technically, yes, you can remove it, but then you're left with the exposed screw holes where the side screws held the shield on. -DrewZilla

im interested in this helmet but how would the speed dial system fit if you have long hair in a ponytail looks like it is right were your ponytail would be.

I think the Pit Boss is a nice option because of its speed dial system. It should provide more adjustability for your ponytail. -Hi-Viz Brian

blg020 I own this helmet and I have very long hair. I don't wear my ponytails directly in the back of my head. I wear them low and over to the right so my hair drapes over my right shoulder. You could still wear it directly in the back but it would have to be a very low ponytail. I love this helmet.

Christian Mahieu Unfortunately no. The Pit Boss is only DOT-certified for the US market. It is not designed for the ECE standard in Europe. -DrewZilla

They are a piece of crap...the speed dial system wears out quick and Bell won't warranty them, but they will sell you a new one for $20. Spend your money on a diffenent helmet where the manufacture will back up there products.
