Thanks for the video. I have a 1200 Sportster Sport 1997 model. I am aware that it's quite a classic but I really don't like the mid controls and low handlebars as I much prefer the cruiser style of riding. Can you suggest a traditional type of apes or risers that would suit. Cheers.

Any way to get a set of murdoc risers with 1.5 inch clamping area?
@RevZilla6 жыл бұрын
No, they're only available in a 1 inch diameter. Here are some 1.5 inch options. -DrewZilla *www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/pro-taper-tracker-1-12-big-bore-handlebar-risers-for-harley *www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/drag-specialties-1-12-handlebar-risers-and-top-clamp-for-harley *www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/drag-specialties-1-12-big-buffalo-risers-for-harley *www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/drag-specialties-one-piece-top-clamp-for-1-12-big-buffalo-risers

Hi Lemmy, I am 64 with arthritis, OUCH! I have a 2010 HD forty eight with miserably painful stock (the rack) handle bars. I had a 1976 Harley Sportster that I stripped and Bobbed. I did leave my Buck horn handle bars and I loved them, I thoughht they looked great and boy were they comfortable, What I was wondering does any one make those things that I can fit up to a forty eight? I sure don't understand why they are so hard to track down. there so retro for a sportster, Any way if you guys sell them in a black or if you know someone that does,could you please let me know? I am also wondering about a set of progressive suspension coils probably 214's, and was wondering if 12.5 " would be tall enough without looking silly? Thanks. Lemmy, Mike.

The closest buckhorns are probably those from Flanders, but they're only in chrome. You might also like the Biltwell Chumps in black, but they don't have as much pullback. As for suspension, stock is 11", so 12.5" would probably be about the limit without looking too high in the back. For additional suspension travel without raising the rear too much, consider the Progressive 412 Cruise Shocks instead. They're 12.5 inches but sit around 11.5 inches when mounted. -DrewZilla *www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/flanders-1-wide-fx-style-buckhorn-handlebars *www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/biltwell-chumps-handlebars *www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/progressive-412-cruise-shocks-for-harley-sportster-1986-2017

Whats the difference between dimpled and drilled?
@RevZilla7 жыл бұрын
“Dimples” are the 2-inch-long indentations on the underside of each handlebar end on select Biltwell handlebar models. The wire clusters on stock Harley-Davidson electrical switches rest inside these dimples and are held in place by the bar clamps on stock H-D brake and clutch levers. If you intend to keep your stock H-D switchgear and hand controls, dimpled bars are the right choice. If your bike has no front brakes, a foot clutch, no bar-mounted electrical switches or similarly custom control setup, non-dimpled (smooth) handlebars are the way to go. Some bars are drilled for internal wire routing. -DrewZilla
