As a native South African I find European wildlife extremely exotic and majestic. We forget Europe also had its own megafauna and looked pretty similar to Africa in certain instances. Keep healing the Earth. ❤

I am also South Aftican, from Durban. Europe's wildlife is so much different and less dangerous than what we have in Africa!

@@marieslabbert6009 Yeah, because the lions, leopards, hyaenas, elephants and rhinos are already extinct for about 10 000 years over here. We had our own species/subspecies of these groups. Very likely they died out due to human interference, which is rather sad. But what we never had were the amount of dangerous reptiles and insects, that is present in Africa. I am glad for that. ;)

At one point, they were virtually identical and not even that long ago. It's insane to think about.

It is amazing that two nations, speaking a similar language, can differ so much. The one bombs, breaks and destroy and the other builds, restore and develop. Being so close to the frontline, I wonder how secure this valuable project is from being bombed.

Nicely done. I've read about some of this work before. It's brilliant to see the benefits and the people involved. Cheers and thank you.

Those buffalo and horses do also need predators to keep them moving however. Any plans to bring in Bears or wolves?

How do you plan to prevent large herbivores overbreeding and overgrazing?

How is the project doing now with the ongoing conflict?
@RewildingDanubeDelta Жыл бұрын
The rewilding efforts are ongoing though at less speed. Also, we are not able to check all the areas we were working before but till the moment all the reintroduced animals seem to be safe and healthy.

Yep! No Big Predators in the Tarutino Steppe in the Ukrainian Danube Delta.

Posto bellissimo ma devastazione e bracconaggio dilaganti, un vero peccato.

Plant more trees. Only then will rewilding be successful. Trees also store water below their roots. Too bad. Not enough tree planting
@DholeCC17 Жыл бұрын
More trees isn't always the solution, specially in a Steppe ecosystem
