Great refresh!!! I've lived in my home for 48 years, my neighbor of 20 years just had their two-story painted white with black trim, the garage doors are original, she painted them black, which totally hides their age (plus the garage doors face North). The neighbor which is directly across the street from me invited me to look and the new kitchen remodel. Many years ago I studied Japanese aesthetics and they have a very definite philosophy of the beauty of the elements within the shadows, of which my own particular artistic bent gravitates. I have Libra in 10th. I do various greeting and thank you cards on a special black paper and I use a 18-K gold to paint Asian garden scenes. Several of the rooms in my home display the Chinese art of 36" high black lacquer, gold and pearlized sea shells to make various high art garden scenes. I also love to bring new life to things by using them in new ways. So, when I viewed the kitchen remodel which faces South, I was shocked to see the bright white with many ceiling "spotlights". My neighbor has no idea what my decor is, but I did comment on how important bringing in some form of "shadow" to beautify the space. The new paint job on the home is beautiful, but it looks like it is screaming at us!!! Thank you greatly for the refresh, it really correlates with my most recent experience!!!

Man that was awesome, especially the part about the association with science fiction and what you articulated around that; freakin spot on! I was born in 81 with Saturn in libra and I remember specifically from the 80’s that kind of science fiction vibe in the air. Even though I wasn’t really a science fiction kid, that vibe was always striking to me. And now I see the connection to the sense of order and balance, albeit somewhat dark and authoritarian. Very interesting.

Beautiful! I'm a Libra with Mercury in Libra at 28 degrees, and the theme of Light and Darkness is probably the lead theme of my life. There is no light without darkness and only from darkness can we appreciate light. They're not separate. People who know me would say I'm sweet and elegant, and are surprised that i love Goth music and hate peppy happiness. I love all the examples!

Ayyy I'm goth too 😆 I was really shocked hearing that this placement in my chart had so much association with beauty and darkness and I really related to it!! I had assumed Mercury in Libra meant "indecisive" (which I am) and left it at that.

So here I am reading through one of the texts on opera seria (“serious opera”) for this class, and I’m struck by this quote from a connoisseur of theater who is criticizing a composer’s opera: “Your Work, if it were written differently, might make a good Tragedy; but the dramma per musica, in itself an imperfect [type of] Composition, has been subjected by custom to certain rules - contrary, it is true, to those of Aristotle, Horace, and all who have treated of Poetics, but necessary if it is to serve the Music, the Actors, and the Composers. This episode really moved me. It is helping me understand a deep part of myself and my attractions. I have Venus in Libra and have always been attracted to regal yet dark men who have a vision of healing ❤️‍🩹 and goodness/justice. My husband is a Leo sun conjunct Pluto and the South Node. His Saturn is exalted in Libra. His life has been marked by addiction, healing and a campaign for justice. Amma and Bernie Sanders are 2 of my heroes. I never understood the darker elements of my Venus in Libra in this way. It makes so much sense. I also have Venus square Saturn in Capricorn. My husband is 7 years older than me. I have often felt uncomfortable expressing joy around him. However, as we get older, I can feel the exalted nature of his Saturn which is striving for a semblance of order and beauty in a purity that will never be achieved. It is simultaneously his “raison d’être” and his greatest heartbreak. Leonard Cohen emanates this energy so elegantly in his song “Anthem”. I will share it in a separate comment box. Blessings. This has all touched me so deeply. I am thrilled when I am able to access astrology in such a palpable way.

I have Mercury in ♎. I also have a ♊ moon and a ♑ rising. I'm very artistically discerning and almost always see how it is even Pinnacle of creative expression or a lacking mediocrity. Of this often drives me to like music, art, and media that's rather unique in its expression. I mean I could list bands and musicians for days that I think hold superiority creatively in an objective fashion heads over the rest of the music world. My favorite band is Tool but I also spend a lot of time listening to things like Django Reinhardt, Les Paul, Deathgrips, and I'll let me of other musicians who have clearly define themselves it's not on talented but also unique. Personality wise I think this Transit comes out in a very wordy fashion. And often that feels like an art form to me. To express things which need to be said and maybe to even surprise others along the way. To be something beautiful, cute, and desirable but also something dark, provocative, and even "satanic". There's a lot of other things in my chart that factor back into this but I definitely think that having mercury in ♎ which is the side of my sun is incredibly key to understanding my chart.

I have Mercury conjunct Uranus, and Pluto all in Libra, and I didn't think of the dark and the technology qualities are associated with Mercury in Libra itself. Thank you for sharing.

I have Mercury and Mars conjunct in Libra, opposite my Aries rising, squaring the Moon, Jupiter and Saturn in Capricorn, late degrees. Venus is in Leo and also conjunct Uranus.

Thank you, its so interesting to listen to you :) Moon-Venus-Sun-Merc-NN, in a row in Libra, Virgo Asc. I just understand myself a bit better, that Saturnic influence got so clear. I just bought a black&white long cardigan, love bl/w photografy, writing, ceramics(virgo/earthy) Springsteen and Cohen, a bit dramatic yeah =D ... or a deep dark hidden artistic soul, maybe, or might it be from having planets in a row, life happens a lot, when that row of planets are, activated. Earlier, I had no clue, now I feel it coming, and handle it different mostly.

Margaret Thatcher being quite conservative's a very libran way of putting it! She was the first female prime minister of the UK and she was a member of the Conservative party...with a capital "C".!
