Anyone see these behave strangely with the PV value jumping all over as soon as the SSR starts cycling? I’ve tried several thermocouples and two different c100 controllers. The heating element can be plugged in or disconnected and the behavior continues.

Concerning this PID with SSR... if I have a 10kw heating element, is there any way to decrease the frequency of the signal from the PID sent to the SSR before limiting my heating element to 9kw? For example, is there an option in the menu that allows 90% of the signal sent to the SSR instead of 100%? That would solve my problem.

You can't set heating speed. This function have programmable controllers only.

Hello, I have a problem, the stove keeps heating up the temperature, more than set. The stove is brand new and the first use of Feher is already like that. I had this problem, here is the fix...Hold set for 3 seconds to enter menu, then change ArU (ATU Auto tune) to 0001 and hold set for 3 seconds again. A light will be lit to say auto tune is on, don't interupt until light turns off, when finished hold set for 3 seconds to enter menu again and you will notice the P, I and D settings have changed, auto tune has changed these for you to better suit your situation, lower P setting for better results if your still going over.

hi thank you for you easy to follow video it was so helpful to me as im dyslectic and find instructions hard to decipher. your vidio is amazing, your instructions were so clear and precise and so easy to follow. that is why im writing to you im having a problem and im hoping you can help me please. i did 2 firings then the kiln stopped heating for the next firing, it shows ambient temp and desired temp. on the left is green light (the 2nd from top) it is steady just as normal but no heat. its as if the power to the heating elements is not geting through. every thing turns on so there is power, it just wont heat up it took 30mins for the ambient temp to change from 21 to 22. but if i hold the pyrometer with my fingers it goes up rapidly as it did when it was working. is there something that cuts the power of from the element's? i would be so great full if you could help me please. kind regards kay.

Based on your description of the issue, most probably the controller sends the signal for the kiln to heat up, but something inside the kiln does not work properly so the command isn't carried out. In this case your kiln probably needs to be opened up and checked inside with a voltmeter to see how the electricity goes though the networks. If the power control is assembled with the SSR relay then please take a look at the relay - does the LED light up on it when the kiln should be heating up (majority of SSR relays have such a control indicator)? If the LED does switch on then you need to check whether the high voltage (230V) reaches the relay, and whether the voltage leaves the relay at the moment when the LED lights up. These are the initial steps for the checkup. If the high voltage does not reach the relay then please check the network - maybe one of the fuses in the way to the relay has burnt out.

This product doesn't work. It reacts way too slow to actual changes. Once a reached threshold triggers a power cut, the temperature can be way above that limit.
