I have the T2 SS. I have to say its one smooth shave. Really a pleasure to use. I have the twig, thorn, Pearl Flexi and rex. T2 SS is by far the smoothest and is my favorite.

I also have the razors you mention and prior to trying the T2, the 6S and the Phoenix Meta-4 were my top 2. I couldn’t believe how much more smooth and how much more efficient the T2 is for me above any razor I have ever tried. The T2 may not be a work of machined art like the Rex or the Blackland or the Tatara but damn has Rockwell nailed comfort and efficiency to a level of near if not, perfection!

The title of this clip is a bit misleading since the Rockwell T2 is made in China. From Rockwell home page: Rockwell 2C and 6C in our dedicated facility in China. While the Rockwell 6S is made in the USA. The T2, including the T2 SS, is designed in Canada; manufactured, assembled and first QC done in China; and final QC done in Canada.

Yeah, I am aware that most of Rockwell's razors are from overseas but I mentioned that in the video. Sorry, that is misleading.

Seems the T2 is a good razor. So sad they are manufactured in China. Hope this will change in the future.

Wow. Just the review battle I was looking for. Would like to see more reviewers comparing these two. One of them will be my next purchase. BTW I own that Rockwell cream... you are using it wrong. All you have to do is to take a nickel with your finger spread around your face with hands then ladder if wish you wish with the brush.

316l will not rust even in salt water. 303 however will rust. Blackland razors are 303 along with Karve SS razors. 316L razors are marine grade.

@@gregb7601 a blade left in a 303 razor will cause staining, called tea staining. It can be easily removed. Blackland razor mention this in their literature. 316 will not stain.

Yes, I think you are right. The 6s is US made and I think the T2 stainless is US made but the rest is from overseas.

I have a T2 and a T2 SS……and the 1 and 2 settings are too mild for me. I use a 4.5 or 5 for my WTG pass…and 3 for my XTG and ATG passes. Using a 2 requires too many strokes….and a 1….forget about it. I’ll be shaving three times as long to get a BBS shave. Just my opinion.

The T2 or T2 SS should be good for you. I’m the same way….and really enjoy mine. I can run the T2 SS from setting 6 to 2 without getting irritation…setting 1 is just to mild to get any use out of. You have full use of your gap range with Rockwells. Compare this to the Merkur Future or Rex Ambassador. Reviews I’ve read about them….talk about them being really aggressive…even on setting 1. I don’t need that…cause I know that on 4 or 5…that thing is going to be a BEAST.

The R1 was my first razor, it’s very mild like a Gillette superspeed, I don’t have it any longer.

I use the 5 setting on my first pass with the T2ss I have and 3 on the following pass. Only 2 passes required.

@@Heiko-shaves I just go for a 2 pass shave. Pretty much BBS. One with the grain and one against the grain. Little buffing if necessary.

I have the R1 and it is a very mild Razor and makes a great travel razor, easy to use and would be a great beginner razor. I also have the Rockwell 6S stainless with all the plates. If I were to compare the aggression of R1 to the 6S it would be the number 2 plate of the 6S. Cheers MikeR.

I can't speak for a razor that I don't own. I just re-watched the video just to refresh my memory on what the mixup was. Are you referring to the couple of strokes I did with the Konsul on the T2 side? I am assuming the T2 is your favorite razor. The T2 is a fine razor.

Very nice shave and comparison! I had the R1 and it saves very well. I gave it to my friend though, because I was annoyed I paid $24 for the exact same razor I got by Razorock for $10. So if you get a chance try them. Really lovely little shave. Cheers and have a good week!

@@Heiko-shaves Ooops, no, the Razorock razor is called the Razorock Quick-Change, but it is the exact same razor as the R1. Except the Razorock is way cheaper, even with shipping.
