Rex has done a lot for chess, both domestically and internationally. It's very generous of him. I hope someone will continue his legacy once he's gone.

I'm glad somebody said it. You can rightly criticize Hans' online cheating. However, many people acted like this validated Magnus accusation of him cheating in a specific game of a specific OTB tournament. For the latter there was just no good evidence.

well maybe he did not cheat, but all of his after game analysis sounds like something a 1800 fide guy would say

in this equation, is your tribe cheaters and the enemy tribe is redditors? because even though i never post on reddit, i certainly don't like cheaters or cheating, so i know which of those tribes i'd side with. but good luck with your fetish.

He cheated in the past mostly attributed to him teaching himself chess without a coach instead of all the other super gms who had the chess priveledge of being coached since they were young. He learned from it and grew out of it.

On one side you have 12 and 14 year old grand masters being legit and on the other side you have Hans, who cheated in rated money tournaments in his late teens and some ppl say ''he was young and didnt know better'' lmao, give me a break. he got what he deserved. Titled player cheating anywhere on any platform should be a problem.

Fabi says many players in the top 100 have cheated online in some capacity. You’re a sheep for rolling with the narrative against Hans.

Everybody want to sound intelligent but then sounded stupid. That's what we all saw, right? From the way the interviews went it wasn't looking good for you know who in 2022. When one put money thinking it was good investment & of course must support it. Until the end only can one see the results. In this world now, you never know what it real or not. Nothing is ridiculous until proven.

Hans gains 300 points, the fastest rise in history. Has a sus game against magnus (who said Hans waz barely looking at the board) then gives an interview after the match where he didn't know what moves he made. And since then lost 40 points. What happened to that historic rise?
@brendanbrown3100
@brendanbrown3100 Жыл бұрын
Nothing suspicious about that game at all. KZbin streamers aren’t necessarily the best people to rely on for spotting cheaters.
@ItsJared___

The problem with people like you is you take everything Magnus and Hikaru say as facts. And GM’s ratings go up and down all the time, that doesn’t prove anything especially considering the circumstances he was in.
@whitedog510
@whitedog510 Жыл бұрын
Lol at “fastest rise in history.” Total bullshit. Incase you missed current events, Magnus just lost to a 2500 at an open event. If any top player played as many opens as Hans did after he was black listed they would all lose rating.
@incendiate5B
@incendiate5B Жыл бұрын
Not the fastest rise in history Game was not sus, Magnus played badly, and Hans was definitely looking at the board Hans lost rating because he had to play open tournaments
@conelord1984
@conelord1984 Жыл бұрын
He gained 20 points during the few months after the event and THEN in 3 months lost almost 60, in the last month he actually gained a bit and in this tournament he should gain a bit more. Playing only open tournaments is tough. You increase your rating very little when you win and you lose a lot of rating when you lose. Now he is having the opportunity to play with stronger players, so his rating will probably increase again to something around 2700 which is his true rating. If he can go past that and get to the level of Fabi and the other top players remains to be seen.

"Unfairly criticised" the guy couldn't have made a less informed statement 🤦‍♂. Not even considering how much Hans brought this upon himself & continues to do so through activities like the recent Piers interview.

It actually increased first. And dropping 50pts is neither uncommon nor strange considering the open tournaments that he played. You either don't get it or you're trolling, I can only hope it's the latter.

do you think that wouldn't happen in the counterfactual where he had been falsely accused and relegated to only playing open tournaments with underrated 2300s for a year?
