As an au owner I suggest getting a manual swap, you can drift the auto but the manuals are so much easier and simpler than the btr autos. Also try find another power steering pump as spare cause you will go through a few of them too😂

I got mine for 1700 with 138,000km on it. They might have taken my r31 but at least I have an AU as a dedicated track only drifter. AU house make a buck wild lock kit and with a welded diff the 3.08 diff gears mean you can party in 1st up to 80km/h.

Should be fun turning that beast into something good. I'm relieved to hear you say welded diff, which is ideal for a drift car but of course, not for a daily driver. I wonder if you're aware that the LSD you put in the Chaser is the very opposite of what you should have for drifting. Of course if you want to be even sillier, you could add some racing tires to increase the traction even more. There's something to be said for comedy and we all enjoy a good laugh.

As a former owner of an Au s1 99 which was I enjoyed while I owned it sadly had to get rid of it started developing issues with the electrical which sucked but apart from that never had any major problems only macanical issue I ever had was a broken water pump apart from that never had an issue of owning it for the 4 years on my Ps of cause doing a few stupid things in it
