can i also add that i'm so bored with the idea that a "villain" can't be redeemed/forgiven without dying in the end. sure Ben (or Kylo if you want to be specific) did some awful things, but i think it's ridiculous to think that he couldn't have been forgiven for them and then spent the rest of his life trying to make amends. i just can't get past the fact that so many people are saying that he had to die because his past actions had been just too horrible. to me it sounds like people are saying: we can forgive you--but only to this point. so then it's like where is the point that we collectively decide is too far? Idk if what i'm saying is making sense, but i needed to vent. hope that's okay that i vented on your vid!

i completely agree with you, it's honestly lazy storytelling on the writers' parts. they could've made it work, the whole point of kylo was to show the differences to anakin's storyline, but they ended up just making it the same which completely defeated the purpose and ugh i really hated his death

This was... a masterpiece. Rey and Ben are such beautiful souls. Such beautiful souls to shape this beautiful trilogy. Same origins, same path, opposite positions. Same conflinct. And at the end, the acceptance of the connection and the love. I wouldn't feel sad for them not being able to enjoy being together, because they managed to, if it wasn't for this edit. I just hope Ben turning to good again would define him as a jedi and living inside Rey as all the others.
