Great run. Nice job with those charged counter thrusts, they do so much damage but are so hard to land consistently. I just hope they will allow us to cancel the follow up rush much faster into the twin finishing thrust, so we dont have to reverse sweep all the time

readily available charged counter would be so much nicer. It's freaking weird to have a counter move on Lance that's more predictive than Greatsword offset slash and does less.

@@RedHornSSS yeah but than they would have to nerf it's damage. I thnink at that point it be better if they just buff peferct guard. You know have charged counter as a really high predicition high damage move and have perfect guard as a more available but less powerfull counter

@@zawardo5909 I'm fine with it. I would prefer rapid thrusting to big flashy damage for my lance any day. As to perfect guard. I don't think it does enough right now compared to passive guard to be considered a "rapid timing required guard option". A flat 25% dmg buff to the shield slam is not enough, not even higher than a plain poke. to step one step back to accept the predictive nature of the charged counter, I still think it's weird to lock it behind 3 pokes, animation wise. Lock it behind power guarding for 2 seconds or something to convey the message of charging or something idk

@RedHornSSS yeah thaz is totally fair. Fun fact there is a visual bug with powerguard. If you PG multple hits your öance starts glowing white, then yellow then red. Which just indecates the boost. However if you power clash with power guard, the lance will keep the glow afterwards until you power guard again

Great showcase of the weapon, and especially those counter thrusts at the end of the poke combo. When I used the lance on Rey Dau I had a lot less luck landing those, so I stuck to triple poke finisher. Definitely changed my mind on the counter thrust tho, i've gotta practice that once we get the full version. That damage is nuts. Only thing i don't like about the Lance in Wilds is that the focus strike is hard to hit. If Capcom cleans that up, i'm definitely maining this weapon on full release.

I was waiting this video since the beta has been realesed, it’s been a couple of months now that i started playing lance on rise and you’re my guide throught this journey made of pokes and counters. Question fellow hunter, how do you manage to throw a flash/luring pod while the lance is drawn ? Also works for the gunlance.

It works with every weapon. You have to press L3 while holding L2 with your weapon drawn.
