REY GREEN - Deck Guide!

This is almost exactly the hero boba shell with Rey leader. Interesting concept, I wonder if it's worth playing behind the curve, and giving initiative for Rey ability + having restore flip vs on curve/free action with boba. I also feel like a modded cohort into Sabine is so incredible making that matchup pretty favorable for boba. Reys answer in r2 saber can be tarkin towned away. Hmm very interesting. Same as below more then 75% similar to my hero boba deck which i thought is resilient to aggro but this is another level, do you think we need 3 top targets? Spark somehow feels awkard here, have you tested some nice 5 drops like Ayla or KI Adi Mundi?

Top target is very good against aggro but everything is a work in progress. I’m not a big fan of the 5 drops without ECL.

There was a section talking about replacements for Regional Governor. Marine is an option for sure.

Surprised Yularen never got a mention. A 2/5 for 3 that becomes a 3/6 and buffs your other units seems solid. Would also be interested to see how it plays by doubling down on Lightsabers and Jedi with Huyang support. But I do think Rey Green is pretty solid.

i like the deck but would for sure play timely intervention for luke or at least in the side just for the villainy matchup to get back the control of the board

Timely Intervention has been one of the best cards in the deck for me. Going into set 3 I'll be dropping the Modded Cohorts so I think it will become even more valuable

Was there any consideration for Kanan for that 4 drop slot? He seems like a really good unit to include. Also makes for a good target for a Lightsaber if you have one burning a hole in your pocket.

I don't think Brain Invaders is a good enough card on rate to include right now. The stats are too poor and the cost is too high for the effect.

In regards to Cohort, 4 power ambush on 4 resource isn't usually impactful enough (the card works better with Quinlan or Boba2 because it gets +1 damage when it drops). Kanan is a good card that just doesn't provide much synergy with the overall game plan of this deck. It's a reasonable include though.

How much of an 80/20 loss here is this into control? I have a hard time seeing this deck beating Palp/Any color. What has your testing shown? This into Qi'Ra seems rough as well. This deck is an absolute nightmare for Jango and Sabine haha.

There is always hope but Chirrut gets hit really hard by the Jango Tarkintown deck that can repeatedly exhaust him.

I dont have Luke. Is chewbaka or luminara ok and still solid for this deck? Or withouth Luke not worth to play this deck

Honestly without Luke your going to find your late game feels very underwhelming without him. For fun it's fine, but for competitive your going to really struggle without it.

Cargo Juggernaut is a half decent Luke replacement. If you really lean into ramp then reinforcement walker won't be terrible either.

I think Luke is one of the biggest reasons to be playing blue hero, so it's tough to recommend a replacement for him. You can certainly try the deck with some of the cards you mentioned to see if you like the general playstyle though!

For competitive, there is no remplacement to Luke. We already dont have a lot of super valued units late game compared to vilainie, if you remove Luke, play vilainie or other colors combinations.
