Thanks for the upload. I had a problem with this scene in the book. Ren had no intention on killing Rey, 1 he needs her power to take down Palpatine. But 2 he’s deeply in love with her . He knew full well that she would jump out of the way. He was just trying to get her angry enough to turn and join him. I just felt that the author completely missed the underlying affection that Rey and Ren have for each other. Like a married couple ;), who at times hate each other, yet still have each others back.

It’s true that it seems suddenly out of character as he has never actually tried to kill her before...I don’t know, perhaps it’s a reflection of just how desperate and messed up he is at this point? Just as Rey is on the Death Star when she *actually* kills him. They are a tempestuous couple!

Nah I think he really want to kill her at that time like "If I can't have her then no one can" but was glad that she was alive.
