This new protoss deathball seems very hard for the pros to beat. This series, would fully upgraded crackling have made a difference? I understand that the protoss can morph more archons, but will it not make it easier for the corruptors and vipers to take out the air units?

Well, even if you have killed all the air units, you'll have a lot of supply caught up in useless corruptors, that get melted by the archon beneath them

Interestingly enough, if you've seen the Unkillable Demon King aka Faker's PoV, he seems to use camera hotkeys the same way SC2 pros do. I don't know if all of the LCK players do that, but from some of the reactions the casters had when seeing his PoV, it seems to be uncommon. And before they disbanded their SC2 team in 2016, T1's SC2 roster included Dark, classic, Innovation (of course) and soO. So it's possible that Faker picked it up from their SC2 roster. Personally, I like to believe he learnt from Dark that sometimes you should throw the rulebook out the window, preferably so that it hits your opponent on the way out.

Zerg require massive buffs in both early (survival/anti-air) and especially late game for the straight up fights. They can't do anything vs late game Protoss or Terran armies even if they have been dealing damage throughout the game up until that point, they are forced to stop them before they make their late game armies or it is almost certain they will lose.

I rarely comment, however i need to. The issue MaxPax is facing is not having any vision on the map, while playing protoss who has invis scouting units called observer. He loses his 4th 4 times (the first time not preventable imo) but all 3 consecutive snipes on the 4th were preventable if he had more vision than just his base... MaxPax if you wanne get a tiny bit better you might wanne consider getting 2 obs and just put them on the map. Playing blind is not it.

@@schippes24 Isn't SC2 changed yearly? It's pretty obvious that Zerg users are complaining. There's a point where the devs need to address this just like how the made ghost nerf. If Terran and Protoss fans are heard. Why wouldn't Zerg fans be heard?

@marus3953 because a) zerg fans have complained about sky skytoss for ages but since it was dealt with by pros nothing was changed b) sc2 isn't changed annually, there is 1 dev for sc2, the rest is up for the community(pro) driven balance council. The balance council has proven to be quite terran friendly. Probably because zerg and toss pros aren't as vocal about changes i guess. That being said, balance ain't about balance. If serral can still hold 70% win chance VS other races they won't change a thing.

Also, since the council is pro Terran and SkyToss is almost unbeatable. Serral unfortunately needs to play off race so other Zerg players can finally see some changes.

The way you beat this is to beat the Zerg before he can make 500 zerglings. I always 1 or 2 base all-in vs Zerg when I play Protoss vs Zerg, and I almost always win too.

@NeoStorm123 ironically, he played the late game, up in resources and bases because he denied the 4th for like 8 minutes and never really had many more workers. The game lasted another 18 minutes from that point.

What is Zerg supposed to do in late game against Protos or Terran, just lose? Playing defense and surviving till late game was always at least viable for both races. Granted Terran had it much easier, due to their innate playstyle. Zerg just has to hope their opponent just throws in the late game.

How to make this match more fair : Tempest should have their upgrades make them do AOE damage, then Protoss would not rely only on Archons (because that is the only unit the hits Air that does AOE damage) to fight against Curroptors and Lurkers.

Call me bronze league but zerg having no real late game unit is absolute bs. Half of zerg roster is situational or bad. Mutalisk. Bad. Ultralisk. Bad. Corruptors. Bad. Broodlords. purposely bugged bad. You're forced to have a midgame army at best with a few late game upgrades, but all of those are VS ground. Zerg ain't allowed to have decent air units 😅
