I also love seeing pro's going off-race. If for no other reason, it really helps you appreciate the match up from the other side - meaning you have so much better understanding of the weaknesses and things you can leverage.

Race switching per map should be allowed. Crazy idea but imagine changing your strategy in real time to improve your odds of winning, and having the skill and execution to back it up. its the epitome of RTS.

msrm was kinda lucky that he didnt get forced to a draw. he messed it up so hard in the first game. transfering all drones to the proxy hatch and build 2-3 more queens or 1 spinecrawler there would have been a instant win for him instead of that 5 minutes clownfiesta. he lost so many drones for no reason. edit: okay just skipped through games2 and 3 it seems like he is a random master elo player so im not suprised that he messed up so hard in game1

Or just leave 2-3 roaches back to defend the workers. He had enough army to split it and still chase down that cc. Losing all of his workers was a big mistake an an unnessecary one at that.

@@mercerwing1458 Sure but that would take time if the roaches are microed correctly, time the workers can gather minerals and build more roaches or maybe even a queen or two. Also the rest of his army was more than capable enough to deal with 3 reapers, while hunting down the cc. And if said reapers try to harrass the attacking force, well thats more time the drones can harvest in peace. Though i do agree, a spine or two would have solved all reaper troubles best.

Not really, Terran is more broken and with a higher skill ceiling. Why limit yourself to play with units that can't be microed and abused when you can use Marines with Medivacs? Especially when you are blessed with God tier micro skills.

this brings up a question i've long had but have been too lazy/dumb to answer myself: what are the rules, generally, about pros and their chosen races? are they generally locked in and can't switch in the tournament, or are there tournaments/situations where they can switch? i do know of the random tournament moments but otherwise i just dont know..

I address it in the video but it depends. Some events allow you to switch races in between games, some force you to stick with one. Generally, the bigger the prize pool the more strict things tend to be.

And yet 95% of the times, it is zerg players whining for it (and Terran in general) to get nerfed.

​@TheChaosNova I think the ghost is op, but it's needed in any late game, so if it's adjusting, it's abilities or damage I don't know which is best. In TvP, TvZ the ghost emp can turn whole armies in to paperweights not to mention that it can snuff out most spellcasters with emp add on sniping down HVT, nuking, and cloaking. It is a absolute menace of a unit in any match sometimes including TvT.😂

To bring up proper hot key layout with good repeat rates and you will eventually get to the point of having rapid fire keys and knowing which race needs which rapid fire keys. Learning maps is key as well, the maps right now are pretty Terran favored but over all most of the maps aren't to bad for cheesy or defensive play.
