I'm gonna write my journaling experience in the hopes it helps someone who is in a similar situation to what I was when I started 3 years ago. When I started journaling I was super depressed and didn't even know it until started affecting work. I got medical help for that and during that time started journaling. There was so much going on that I had to write in stream of consciousness, there was just too much and it needed to be out of my head. Once I'd done a few entries of pure rambling about everything in my head I could ask myself how to fix it and having those ideas thought of and then expanded upon on paper actually makes fixing the problem easier, for me at least. Once you start seeing improvements to your mental state is when I would start something like what's in the video. I personally don't use the life tracker system, it's not for me, but I have recommended it to a friend. Find the root cause of the problem and find out how to fix it and then focusing on what you truly want becomes easier. I journal 3-4 times a week though sometimes less. If I wait any longer than a week then it starts building back up in my head again and ruins my mental health. I think what's mentioned in this video is great but for people with serious mental health just getting it all out in a brain dump is easier to start with in my experience.

I'm so glad I found your journalling videos. I struggle with a lack of motivation and an overall feeling of not having control over the many facets of my life. I watched two of your journalling videos and have started journalling more effectively. Hope you put out more videos like these

Watched a clip of yours (life tracker) end of June, attempted something somewhat similar knowing it's gonna be bit of trial n error. That process has got me my own prompt ie "How does Self Awareness/Metacognition figure in Journaling?" Well a lot and in fact builds more and more of both. Am still reading up on the two inexhaustible topics! Eye opening and so relatable. What started me on this prompt was my take from your few clips I've watched. And mental clarity happens to be one important tracker I want to maintain. Can only get better right 😉 Now to re watch this clip to digest it...

I have two stalemates for journaling.The first is that it is more tempting for me to use an e-ink device instead of traditional paper and pen.But it is restrictive that todays’ e-ink notebooks are a4 size. The second issue for me is the time transitions in daily paragraphs. As I review the day and tasks I left behind, I realized that most of the time i am writing the insight section in the future present tense. Whenever I use past tense, it doesn't really help to record my pessimistic point of view and criticism of myself, and even small problems that are recorded on my journal by me are getting rock-rigid🤔
@reysu
@reysu 2 ай бұрын
try out analog and journal see which one you like most! and I think future tense can make sense for the insight section and past tense for context

Hey brother! Just sent you a DM, thank you so much for your journal format! Been using it and it works like clockwork! It's great, but I need to ask you about how you do one for a QUARTER or YEARLY plans? Any ideas? 🙏🏼 Keep up the amazing stuff - cheers!

How do you categorize your book? Month by month, or do you journal in one section and do the monthly tracking divided?
@reysu

i use one notebook per year starting on my birthday and its split up naturally by the monthly pages. It gives me roughly 15-20 pages a month to use for journalling
