Here in the U.S., our prices are much higher: Tea: $3.50 U.S., $3.30 Iran Oil: $4.00 U.S., $1.10 Iran Rice: $4.50 U.S., $1.70 Iran Tissue: $1.25 U.S., $0.40 Iran Tuna: $2.00 U.S., $1.50 Iran Tomato Paste: $2.00 U.S., $1.00 Iran Pineapple: $2.00 whole or $8.00 cut up U.S., $3.70 Iran I could go on, but I'll just say that U.S. food prices are about triple (3 times) the cost in Iran.

Everything you listed cannot be purchased for anything near that price in the USA or Canada. Canada is more expensive. Rice is $4.00 and bottled water about$4.00. Pasta is at least $2-$2.50. Butter is about $4.00. Our grocery bill is about $400-500 a week. Family of 5.

Ok. Southern USA. Milk $4 a gallon. Pasta 1.70 for 16 oz. Tuna 2.50 matters the size of the can. And sauces 2 to 4 dollars. Yogurt single serving $.80 . Rice $2 to $5 depending on type and weight. Beans $1.50 to 2.50 a pound. Oil $1.7 to 2.5 unless olive oil which is higher. Eggs 2.5 dozen for $7.5. Bread 1.70 to $6 a loaf . Mine is $6 a loaf. I dont buy it toasted. I toast it myself with butter. Tea family pack of 24 tea bags for $4.5. tomato paste unsure we mainly buy tiny jars for $.40 to $1.50. Chicken is expensive $6 to $16 depending on whole, white only or dark , or mixed. and so is cheese $3 to $15 Water is around $6 for a six pack that size. Tissue $2 to $4 depending on brand. And then add taxes to it.

I live in Houston TEXAS, But was born in Guadalajara MEXICO, many supermarket items are cheaper in Mexico than the US. Obviously the salaries are not proportioned, that's why American and Canadians retire in Mexico, their Dollar has almost double the buying power when they shop for Mexican day to day living expenses, food, housing medical to name a few. I can see from this video that food in Iran supermarkets are cheap. Here in Australia sunflowere oil 1l is from 3.5 - 7 Australian dollars, bread loaf is 4 - 7 dollars, 1kg rice is 3 dollars, water 24 bottles pack 600mls are 9 - 14 dollars, beef meat mince average 15 dollars per kg, beef scotch fillet is 35 - 40 dollars, lamb ribs 24 dollars kg etc, margarine 500gr around 6 - 8 dollars, soda voda from 1.20 - 3 dollars per bottle, cigaretes 40 pce 55 dollars ( i am non smoker). Donner kebab in shop around 14 dollars, fetta cheese 200gr is 4 - 7 dollars, tomatoes 7 - 8 dollars per kg, ginger 16 - 25 dollars per kg. Onion is cheap here - 2 dollars per kg, carrots even cheapper - 1.20 dollars per kg, apples from 4 - 7 dollars etc. Definitelly prices of food articals in Teheran is much cheapper. 👍

I live in the US and have been to a number of states - this is a nicer store than any that I've ever shopped in. Some of the prices are higher (bananas, lentils), but most are lower than here.

Tissues are about a dollar cheaper there than in the US. Some of the other prices are closer. Tomato paste is about the same. Eggs are about the same too. Is the milk non refrigerated? We have almond milk etc that doesn't need to be refrigerated until it's opened but cows milk stays in the refrigerated section. There's a lot of rice in the aisle there. Do you make tadiq? Have you guys experienced inflation like most countries?

wow prices are cheap on basic goods in Iran. I'll plan to visit next year. Philippine passport can travel to Iran without visa and can stay in Iran for a maximum of 90days.

Wow, my groceries cost about a hundred dollars per week for just the basics. Meanwhile, you're almost covered for $20, and the price of oil is so cheap. I usually buy a quality olive oil for about $7.50. And the cheapest whole chicken in USA is around $7 or $8.00 dollar .Your $20 goes a long way. I wonder what $100 can buy in Iran.

Iran is way cheaper but at the same time if one was to guess how much you'd spend monthly out of your salary, it would be the same as here in Europe... we get higher salaries but end up paying taxes and high prices on food and services... so we both end up in the same position. Mind you that the highest expenses are rent/mortgage, insurance, car insurance, bills...etc. are not even mentioned. So if a person earns 3000 euros a month... he'd be left with very little towards the end of the month... things have changed from before when things were affordable and the money was good.

As important as food prices is what the average person makes per hour at his job. How much of their paycheck goes for food. In the USA I think I have more disposable income than the average person in Iran, but more of my money goes for food, too. I did think some of the items on your list were more than what I pay, most were less. This must be how KZbinrs in Iran are able to support their families with just this job.

You can at least triple or even more for what we pay in Australia. A weekly grocery shopping for 2 people is around $250.00/$300.00 au a week. Our dollar is worth around 70 cents to the US dollar.
